I want the girl dressed in some silk dragon robe and for her to have top notch massage skills. I don’t mind if she isn’t super young or hot, I’m face down for most of it anyways. I need the good massage before the tug, just the tug is so unfulfilling and I like a slow teasing tug that really pays attention to the balls and butthole. Really, that’s for me.

Had such a good week swing trading, decided to take a risk on that UAVS trash. Bought at 2.22 yesterday, set a stop loss this morning for 2.75...trading halts for an hour at 2.92, opens back up and my sell order goes through for 1.50. lost literally every dime I made this week on one bad trade. Even tried setting stop losses and doing the right thing with it and it failed.

Mentally, I was laughing at first, but I guess the reality of wiping away a week's worth of good work and DD on one shitty trade has me feeling absolutely retarded. I guess just keep doing the good things I was doing and when I get an impulse, actually think about it.

The AMZN explanation for the big miss was classic Bezos. He tried to pawn it off as 4 billion spent to protect workers, thus address AMZN's other problem, an impending worker strike. Admit one problem, and try to use to use it to solve another.

It's nonsense of course, AMZN is going to have rough weeks ahead. But it's great for me. The two bags I've been meaning to add since March have been priced out because of AMZN's oversized weighting in them. AMZN tanking first on earnings, and then on a gneral strike, is going to drag many other things down with it.

-1.28% in total from yesterday's close, and we could see another -1% overnight tonight. Together, that would wipe out about 1/4 of the gains from the past three weeks in essentially a 36 hour period, not including any market movement we see tomorrow. Note that for the past three weeks, the markets have followed futures 75% of the time, and only once was there a bullish divergence from futures (the day was still a net loss, though).

>>18790171
There's been a lot of talk in the past two weeks about the optimism we've been seeing vs the reality of the situation finally setting in. Both US and European GDP were hits were more than expected, and next Q will be even worse. The Fed is keeping ultra-low interest rates on the table for the foreseeable future, meaning they expect this recovery to take longer than what we're being told (most likely). RDS also cut dividends, whereas other companies have already done so (or stopped them altogether) up until now, indicating they also foresee a longer recovery. Earnings have been poor. Unemployment claims for the past week came out today in the US and they were also worse than expected. I believe we're now over 30 million in the US, and European numbers were even worse than anticipated as well. On top of that, the whole "don't fight the Fed" meme might be getting taken too literally, when the truth is that the Fed doesn't care about the equities markets.

This has all been discussed ad nausea over the past month, and has been slowly building up. The resilience of market sentiment is going to be tested a lot. We're going to see how much can be priced in. It will have to push through increasingly negative data to keep recovering. If it can't, people will take profits. After yesterday's run up, it was a great time to take profits, even if there is another bounce back up.

That's what a lot of anons have been discussing, yes. There may be a few catalytic moments where we see small sell-offs due to some even or another, like post Nov. 2007 and Oct. 2008, but I think there were several anons on board the "downward grind" pain train. It depends on how fearful the market sentiment is underlying all of this speculation. If we see one big red day, that might turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. We need to see capitulation and real fear and trepidation over re-entering the markets before we see large capital inflows again, I think. That didn't happen in March, as clearly evident by the rally.

Or, if the market sentiment remains optimistic for any number of reasons, we could pull off a truly unprecedented recovery. But that's a long shot in a lot of people's eyes, it feels like.

Corona-chan (PBUH) could be eliminated tomorrow. The economic damage is done. That will still take time to repair, and we will not know its full extent, or how long it will take to recover from it, until we re-open (and of course manage the virus situation, because in reality, it's still here). The re-opening will certainly act as a tailwind for market sentiment, but that's not really what people are concerned with anymore when we start looking at the aftermath. COvid-19 is just another layer of misfortune to have to deal with on top of opening up, and will bring with it several negative factors (reduced manufacturing productivity, reduced demand, etc.). But the economic damage from the shutdowns is already here, and that's what we're going to be seeing more and more of.

>>18790581
DIX was in the "bullish" territory for most of the past 6 months, only dipping below near the very bottom. The daily return vs DIX overlay already showed that there was little correlation between the two (thanks to the anon who posted that). Still an interesting metric, but hard to correlate with the markets when there are divergences.

There were a lot of dominoes that got nudged within that two month window. We cannot know the full extent immediately, though the Fed has done what it could do to keep the economy from seizing. And Congress is doing what it can with fiscal stimulus (albeit that has been delayed too often).

Yes, the markets do attempt to be forward-looking, but to completely overlook a recession is expecting too much, I think. It's never been done. You're talking about ignoring all negative data over the coming year. Note that the IMF's most optimistic projections put us at full GDP recovery by the end of 2021, with a lot more downside risk than upside. There's a tremendous amount of uncertainty remaining, which could easily tip market sentiment. And we have no idea of what real unemployment will look like as we re-open, but projections have it as high as the mid teens. That is going to have consequences on consume spending, demand, on creditors. There is a lot of room for wide-scale systemic effects, and the big banks and the Fed have been preparing for the worst while hoping for the best. Just like the companies cutting dividends.

It really isn't a matter of being bearish or bullish, it's: what are the facts, and how can you plan along with them?
