18780003 No.18780003 [Reply] [Original]

I've been in link since late ~2018.

Still picked up a healthy 10k stack while it was cheap, had another 5k LINK but lost it on shitcoins.

When I understood link I kept quiet and bought, played up the FUD on reddit and such. But now, on the eve of what I feel will be the golden bull the next two years. I want to take some close friends with me.

How are normies so retarded? I've had friends who couldn't even buy BTC on coinbase, I've explained LINK to intelligent people who just don't understand it, people I consider just as smart as me. It took me a while to get LINK, but no one actually understands what it does or how it's used. People usually get caught just on how automated contracts would work? I don't get this shit, if it moons I've told a few people now, they'll read back my messages and come begging like oliver fucking twist when they were too dumb enough to even log onto coinbase or read an article how to buy BTC.

Here's a rare Serg

It's alot of handwaving and theoretical concepts that require a understanding of crypto before approaching. They need to understand the magnitude of the BTC and ETH networks before they can grasp what could be for chainlink. We know chainlink is the way crypto opens the door to the real world.

Try explaining the internet in the 80s or 90s, imagine how far you'd get

That's because 99% of people in the crypto market are gamblers. 0.9% are actual profitable traders and 0.1% are fundamental investors.

If you read and understand the chainlink white paper then you will realise why it is going to change the world forever in a decade.

I guess we are chosen, yes.
I can't explain it otherwise.
I have explained it to a few friends who study Computer Science, same as me. They didn't even know what a Smartcontract ist. But they heared about Ethereum. They do not get the implications of it though and do not see the chance in front of them. "Anon Blockchain is absolute Bullshit. This will never work"
Meanwhile I have some fucking 75 IQ brainlet friend who is very loyal though and always supportive where he can. I like him a lot and we are friends for several years now.
I explained it to him as well and it didn't took him long untill he was like "holy shit that's huge". Then I showed him some cool memes as well and he bought 3000 LINK.
I had to hold his hand every step of the way, from registering on an exchange, to buying and transfering it to his ledger. Literally everywhere, that's how stupid he is. But he bought in. And I am happy for him. He actually knows how to handle money and would deserve it.

The fucking IOTA in the middle makes this meme a perfection. I was in IOTA during 2017 october. Thankfully I made money from it. Also a good lesson to fully research everything about a project. IOTA was just some vague technical jargon promising some great vision backed by "partnerships". Every one of these shitcoins follows the same "The China Hustle" pattern. I know what you mean OP. I knew a guy I worked with, a finance major, who was into a crypto a bit so he said. I started telling him smartcontracts were the future.

I never made tons working a 9-5ish job, I've been in restaurant management my whole life basically, upscale a bit and fast casual dining. I love all of the skills I learned over that time I was able to take home I.E. cooking and organizational skills mostly.

Anyway this guy who was a finance major, doing serving gigs to work his way through college, just couldn't get it. I think its more he just didn't care. I mean honestly what are the odds I was actually telling him good investment advice.

This is what I do for all normal people. I just mention to them to read the book the 4th Industrial Revolution by Klaus Schwab, and to take notice to the part about blockchains, where Smartcontract.com by name is mentioned.

He just kept saying 5,000 different crypto exist, how do I know this is the one. Of course its not the "only one", but clearly is the last most obvious 1000x and more. I explained the oracle problem, decentralized data feeds, its clearly the next progression in bridging blochain and legacy institutions, all the developers from Fortune 500s working on it, the partnerships, Ari Juels. The list goes on and on.

People would rather not invest and risk than be wrong. This is the real answer, too much ego and ironically not enough confidence all at the same time.

LINK requires and understanding of too many facets to put together its true value. AI, IoT, blockchain, oracles, automation, PSD2/ISo20022 standards etc. It was made for autism minded people. People also don't have patience.

I stopped trying and will have to come up with a new way to help others because you can't just tell people, they have to figure it out on their own.

I'm very comfy at least.

How hard is it to get?
For X to happen you need Inputs outside from a dlt to smart contracts that trigger event(s) on-chain and vise-versa. For this to be possible you need something like dlt json parser and to make it relevant it needs to be at least as secure and tamper prove as the dlt, else it would make no sense to start with. Nothing more is LINK, the LINK Token is just another layer of security, not really needed, but a nice gimmick for practical and capital reasons.

If it ever drops below 1.5 again, - which it won't - I'll be sure to invest the remaining trading-pennies (like 2k dollaroos) into linkies.

I've onloaded a lot of IRL friends and colleagues into link starting from 2018 and onwards.
In total, because of my ability to persuade and explain what's happening, I've been responsible for almost $500,000 invested in link and linkpool across 10 people.
They are mostly working professionals (engineers, doctors, lawyers) one of my close family friends is a construction worker and funny enough, because he has doesn't fidget with his holdings, he is the most profitable.

However, for each person who understood and pulled the trigger, there are many more who did nothing and just ignored.

Link marines will have mixed results persuading "normies". It depends on how well you are able to explain and how the people around you perceive you. If you are perceived by your peers as a person who knows what they're talking about, you're much more likely to persuade them.

When explaining to friends IRL, I don't mention the occult associations with link lol. However, some of them know about my "42" escapades and are avid readers hahah

I mean I wasn't that close to the guy, just someone I worked with 3 or 4 days a week. A couple close friends new I was making solid money in the short term from crypto, but I just couldn't get them to pull the trigger.

In fact the day I remember when I stopped trying was specifically when I had told my closest friend. I went into a breakdown of what smart contracts were and their global potential. He just said "those are some words", and then kind of changed the subject. That was early 2018. I don't have to work anymore, just trade futures in the interim trying to further build my stack I never touch. Needless to say, our relationship is a bit strained now because I have my freedom. He just acts kind of strange but we mostly just don't talk about it when we hang out. His parents offered me money a couple months ago for helping do some painting in their rental ( that he is renting) and I just said no its okay. He looked at me and asked how much money do you have to turn down $100? I just said enough basically.

As I said previously though I wasn't the proper authority figure as a Restaurant Manager for normal people to even consider my financial advice I guess. So its hard to blame anyone but they could have at least read the book I mentioned, or even that section to get started. Once I read it I started researching SmartContract.com and subsequently LINK for like 4-12 hours a day, I became obssessed.

>we received a time travel riddle last year that involved cosmic geometry and immuniglobulin e antibody nomenclature as the cypher.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it might have been me from the future who sent that riddle

I suspect it has to do with quantum computers (QCs). The QCs they have in laboratories now are not TRULY quantum. They simulate pseudo-quantum processes but decohere when reading and writing to the memory.

I suspect that the consensus algorithms used in DLTs are the quantum mechanisms required to create a true "quantum computer" aka quantum network.

In the future, the way to test if something is truly quantum is going to be by sending messages forwards and backwards and time and receiving them. This will require new "timezones" localized to the quantum machine and will require a re-thinking of calendars in general. Furthermore, the QCs will only be able to send back messages in time up to a limit of when the machine was first created. It is fascinating.

https://phys.org/news/2020-04-relativity-source-quantum-exoticism.html

It's funny, technology is progressing so quickly that our linguistics are having a hard time keeping up. We don't even yet have the proper words to describe what DLTs actually are.

It is really important to understand the role of time when it comes to the geometry of things. Too many people are still stuck thinking in euclidian terms and therefore erroneously ascribe simultaneous geometries when there is no such thing. Special relativity dictates that nothing happens "simultaneously" anywhere in space due to the unique nature of light (where it remains the same speed regardless of your frame of reference relative to it.)

also they use "pseudo" atoms that act as qubits. The "pseudo" atoms in reality are comprised of hundreds of actual atoms and are constructed in such a way as to simulate an atom, however it can hardly be considered truly quantum. More like a proof of concept more than anything else.

>In fact the day I remember when I stopped trying was specifically when I had told my closest friend. I went into a breakdown of what smart contracts were and their global potential. He just said "those are some words", and then kind of changed the subject.

yeah I realized most modern males are incapable of being a friend
men claim they like competition, but when it turns out you do something much better than them, they become gossip-girl and work behind your back to sabotage you

I shed my dependence for friends and peer acceptance in my early 20s at the end of my undergrad. If I had stayed in that mental state I would have never achieved or succeeded.

After experiencing the wretched state of modern men and thinking they were capable of being something they are not, I got over my pity and stopped trying to "correct" what I saw as weakness. I also stopped trying to befriend them, after being burned a few times. I discovered that they will throw you and their mothers under the bus for even a whiff of that pussy. You can extrapolate those small scale examples and see the havoc it's causing on the macro scale. Simps and weak men have always been the problem throughout history. Beta-male mating strategies destroy societies because they seek to elevate the woman in exchange for sexual favours.

I used to think that women were the problem, until I realized it was weak men all along. They are afraid of women.

>I've seen this image before but where does it even mention it's Link?
the riddle was initially posted as a reaction to my 42-posting the week before
It was never explicitly stated that it's the chainlink price but rather it was implied

Look at the dates of the riddles and index it against the price chart of chainlink in the summer. The riddles literally lined up, to the day, with the first major chainlink moon mission after the oracle/coinbase announcements.

Would you believe me if I told you that I converted my BTC/ETH holdings all into chainlink right before the big pumps? And I did it right before the answer to the riddle was posted. Then the next day, chainlink moons.

Remember what was said when the riddle was first posted:

I consider him reasonably intelligent (has a 401k, basic grasp on investing, etc.) but can't get him interested in crypto at all, not even for 10 minutes to sign up and get free money.

Meanwhile my coworker who has no background in any financial markets whatsoever has actually been interested and engaged when he asks questions. Guess who got that $50?

Wow man, its like you can hear my thoughts, I basically had this conversation with my father and outlined much of what you touched on. He wasn't a great father/provided, but always gave me support and now is an excellent friend. I'm only 29, he is about 66. I figured this out at around 25, I wish it were so much earlier.

I let my guard down too recently and thought I made a solid male friendship the last year, I was so sadly mistaken. You know where we admire each other's strengths or abilities and then find ways to translate what they do well in their life to your own. Its so hard to find real fraternity these days and its one of the few things that really bothers me.

This guy was the Kitchen Manager of where I worked while I was Front of House. We bonded over edgy jokes, working out, THC concentrates and just bettering ourselves while having fun. Needless to say, he thought I was sleeping with his ex girlfriend and he asked me and got weird about it. She worked there too, but I hadn't although we flirted a lot and he didn't like it I guess, but its basically meaningless. She did send me fun pictures though. Lol

Anyway, I found out he was recording things I said outloud on his phone and then letting the General Manager listen to it. A knife right in my back because he thought I was plowing his ex. I thought I could speak freely around him and be a bit harsh on my opinions of how things were ran. The GM was lazy as fuck and overall not great at his job, we continued to lose good employees. I raised my concerns to the GM on a professional level many times and it went unheard.

One of the servers told me it wasn't the first time the KM had done that to people. Its sociopathic honestly. The GM knew verbatim things I was saying and just assumed the KM told him until I basically set the KM up and saw his phone on record.

I honestly couldn't believe it because I was positive I met a good friend and he didn't seem insecure at all.

Whenever you attack their mind-slave propaganda, they throw their "phobe-isms" at you to shut you up and force their mob of slaves to attack you.

Giving women the rights to vote was the beginning of the end. Not even speaking in a misogynistic way. But it didn't do any good for society, because it pushed society in a different direction. Back then politics was focused on "the family", now it's only focused on the individual. It's a vicious cycle.
But the worst part about the whole thing is, that women always act emotionally. I don't blame them. That's how god made them. But it didn't do any good to society. They are so easy to influence and basically represent the average midwit male, who doesn't question anything

I’m being serious:

You have a terribly skewed view of reality if this is your perspective. Most men AND most women are “midwits” as you say. There are many intelligent women with the ability to critically think. The problem wasn’t giving women the right to vote. The problem was a general increase in democracy and a straying away from voter eligibility.

If we still had educational and financial requirements for voting, it wouldn’t matter if the voter is male, female, black, white, etc. You are just as brainwashed as the idiots you hate, except your brainwashing comes from 4chan idiots. You’re still not developing your own view of reality. You’re basing your reality off of stupid media and 2nd hand accounts of events.

REFUSE TO BOW DOWN
REFUSE TO BLEED

https://youtu.be/nvoqF65gSsU
Women are born with a very dark side
That men do not understand and they don't understand
And women need to be loved...the way Adam should have loved Eve...
Women have a certain weakness...
And now something unholy is appearing...

What have you done, where have you been
Lord of the handout, always once again
Always once again
Always once again
Always once
Refuse to bow down, refuse to bleed
Eternal illusion, ain't no one can see
Refuse to bow down, refuse to bleed
Eternal illusion, ain't no one can see
Ain't no time to rest, got the pedal to the floor
Ain't no end in sight, forever wanting more
Forever wanting more

you don't understand shit, link (the protocol) is a centralized oracle that's beyond trivial to copy and has nothing going for it, except that they are literally giving feeds away for free, dumping node costs on speculators. Nobody is ever going to pay for centralized feeds, as signed data from coinbase is free and coinbase is way, way more reputable than a cayman islands company that already fucked up its centralized feed once (synthetix xau/xag price).
Link (the token) is a scam because it has exactly zero fundamental value.

its price didn't rise because link holders started earning money from adoption. The cash flow is heavily negative - as both chainlink itself and nodes constantly dump. It's up because of marketing to speculators. Good projects market to customers. Link markets to speculators. All those well-crafted memes weren't made for free.

You're going to it for years until it drops to zero.

Yes I thought that guy was one of those people since he generally seemed okay with confrontation and would say things that upset people in the name of efficiency and to get things done. Its how he operated at work with other employees. He seemed like he spoke his mind but also undermined when he could.

Yes telling other women you sleep with a lot of women makes you sound high value. Lol Women don't understand how much sleeping around can make it harder to pairbond properly. I think some men inherently understand it and seem to have an easier time sticking to one woman. That could just be women have an easier time monkey branching and are built to do so somewhat.

it was difficult for me in my 20s to tame my lust
it didn't help that I was doing everything I could to boost natural testosterone production and was already high-T to begin with.

After experiencing what I did and going through some truly crazy things with women that I don't have time to write out here, it is easier for me to control myself. I'm married now and want to have children with my wife. One thing that really helps me stay in line is thinking about my father and how it would have been if he was an adulterer.

That really serves to clarify things for me and I'm really fortunate to have great parents for role-models.

http://www.bpauley.com/The_World_of_Bob_Pauley/Wow,_Now!_files/The%20Jumping%20Jesus%20Phenomenon.pdf

Our psychic universe is expanding even more rapidly than the physical universe. Let us define the measurement of known scientific facts in the year 1 A.D. as "one jesus," using the name of the celebrated philosopher born that year.
Before going any further, let us ask how long it took to arrive at one jesus. One way of estimating is to take the estimated age of homo sapiens, in which case it took 40,000 to 100,000 years.

How long did it take to double this accumulation of knowledge, to achieve two jesuses? It required 1500 years - until 1500 A.D. How long did it take to double again and obtain four jesuses? It required 250 years, and we had four jesuses in our larder by 1750.

The next doubling took 150 years, and by 1900 A.D. humanity had eight jesuses in our information account. The next doubling took 50 years, and by 1950 we had 16 jesuses. The next, ten years, and by 1960 we had 32 jesuses. The next doubling took seven years, and by 1967 we had 64 jesuses. And the next doubling took 6 years; by 1973 we have 128 jesuses.

There is no reason to imagine that the acceleration has stopped. Thus, we almost certainly reached 256 j around 1978-79 and 512 j in 1982.

In short, we are living in a mental transformation space; that is, an omnidimensional halo expanding toward infinity in all directions. And the electronic center of this halo of mentation is possibly everywhere. It is all available to you right where you are sitting now. Just plug in a terminal. The machine doesn't care who or what you are.

A couple books I'm going to purchase soon are The God Design by Kelly Marie Kerr and God-man-The Word Made Flesh by George W. Carrey. Albert Pike is another name I'm going to look into soon as well, I guess he was an OG Mason apparently

This was shortly before I came to the realization of "42".

The funny miracle is that well before I even knew about 42 and before I started posting under this name, I was #42 in my professional engineering licensing ceremony in 2018. I found this out just recently when I was digging through some pictures from that year. Chainlink will be the same way, nerd shit that will be insanely important & valuable behind the scenes but that's it. And it's hard enough to get them to understand shit like Btc, even moreso Eth & Link is simply way, way over their heads. It's why it's best to FUD, keep out the retards with weak hands. At the time I just started working again(lived in Asia, tried to start a business, lost everything, you name it) , I wasn’t in a position to give financial advice and I knew it but link makes sense if you consider why blockchain has not yet been adopted enmasse by enterprise. They would have to build on,ie btc platform which they would not do, link allows them to keep their old system and reap the benefits of a new technologically superior system at the same time. Pardon my small brain example and maybe this is why friends I’ve spoken too about this didn understand the implications.
And on the subject of male friends or friends in general, keep the ones that require low maintenance, if they do something you’d never do to them, end the relationship.

Yes it was clearly the obvious solution to connecting legacy to blockchain in a seamless and inexpensive manner for large instiutions and banks. They weren't going to just up end everything they built for the last 40 years, it needed to merge.

As far as male friends go, the low maintenance ones are fun to spend time with, but I want franternity among men where we share our strengths and knowledge to improve each other. People who are honest and do what they say they are going to do. A lot of the men I befriended through my 20's just lost the luster for life and basically engage in escapism that provides zero value. I don't mind various escapism from time to time to unwind but depth seems to be lacking. They also can't entertain ideas they don't understand or agree with it seems.

Ah I see what you mean, it’s maid me realize that’s exactly what I have and have been taking it for granted. And what I meant by low maintenance was in relation to the lack of need for constant interaction, ie give me attention. Having male friends to share ideas with and get/seek guidance from is difficult at most we get their scraps, at worse we become another customer base. I use /biz/ as a way to share and expose myself to ideas, there are many paths to a single destination.

As much as I cherish /biz, /fit, and even /pol to gain insight in my life and improvment so much more can be done with groups of people in person. Its just so hard to get people to start a goal and then follow through until the end without any reward until the end. Ideally I will become wealthy and can help people see the light and hope they choose the path I'm laying out. I see so many people unhappy, want change, but don't do anything or maybe it seems to hard but things can be streamlined for efficiency like eating properly and nutrition. Once that changes so many things become easier since you feel better overall, have more energy, and a more pleasant mood.

I’m a very idealistic individual and although I’ve made the wrong decisions in my life I’m still extremely hard on myself and without thinking I can project this on close friends and loved ones. But I’m also self aware and know that this behavior is detrimental. I’ve come to realize that if you can’t help yourself no one can. We can’t help everyone and through experience realized they don’t want my help, I’ve come to terms and would rather just observe.
