The drones they make aren't anything special as is. The only unique thing about this company is the software they have to monitor corn and shit. Amazon would never partner with a company like this for drone delivery. Drone delivery is years out for many reasons but when it does happen Amazon will do it in house or partner with someone like Tesla for their battery technology or something, not a crop monitoring company. Dumbest rumor I have seen in a long time and I can't believe so many people took the bait.

I doubt you'll see drone delivery anywhere, except in very small, specific locales, ever. Just the headache and bullshit of dealing with state and local municipalities to test it is so high, all I've heard is that Amazon has pretty much given up on the idea, internally, and it's a pet project that will be funded, but never deployed - and that's before even trying to deal with the FAA, who are the final authority and seem to be dead set against the idea because of the burden on their tracking systems to keep these drones out of intakes and props.
It's a great idea, on paper. In reality? Don't hold your breath.
