Because of their politicization its impossible to do any real research since all the data is worthless, basically faked. Some of my physician frens have told me with what little they can gather the death rate is about 2%,putting it at the same level as fucking diabetic ketoacidosis, something we see and treat all the time. US is definitely lying but I wouldn't be surprised to find China is also lying. It just turns out to benefit them more by cooking the books so numbers are lower, same deal but opposite of here.

it's hard to tell what exactly caused a persons death who has serious health conditions. the answer to the question: would he have made it not for the covid infection? is impossible to objectively answer. it's a what if game.

excess mortality is a good indication for this what if in retrospect. if we assume the usual suspects did not take more life without the covid than previous years in the same season we will in a few months get a clear picture. but to determine the exact mortality rate we also need to know what percent of the population had the virus and recovered. which means good antibody testing protocols and wide scale studies.

that's why i said we will know more by september. good science takes time. even when you feel you don't have time.
