His reasoning was all based off of fundamentals, while I told him that the only reason the market tanked was because of fear associated with the virus, and if that fear is abated, then naturally the stocks should jump up again, and it's looking like the worst of it was over, thus the market will slowly return to normalcy. That the huge drop we saw already factored in the losses in the coming months, and everything is priced in. He was actually a big asshole about me being confident it would go back up.

Needless to say he's raging right now, saying how it's all bullshit and it shouldn't be happening and it's a fake market and blah blah blah. I think he's more pissed off that my insight, as someone who works construction, was better than his insight, someone who was schooled for 10 years in the field and has been working in it for another 5.


Not to say he won't be right in the future. He may be. but in the short term I don't know how anyone thought this wouldn't go up when talk began of opening up the economy.

Corona accelerated the sell off that was going to happen anyway. Fundamentals have been off since October. It was just a panic when everyone who was looking to sell thought they might be left behind.
