It seems like a lot of us want to know what the next shit coin will explode in price. Lets try to do this with as little shilling as possible. Please just answer these questions:

>Which coin do you believe currently is undervalued?
>What technology is new with this coin?
>Name something negative about the coin.
>What's the current price. Has it risen or fallen lately and where do you buy it?

Example:
>Which coin do you believe currently is undervalued?
Golem is actually a bit cheaper now than what it was at it's crowdfunding. The crowdfunding sold out way before the deadline so some big shots have a lot of money invested in it.
>What technology is new with this coin?
The devs are using the Ethereum network for this coin and they want to be the first to make the Ethereum network where you can rent out your processing power so others can use it for 3d-rendering, mining pools, stock market predictions, any hard calculations basically.
>Name something negative about the coin.
It seems like they have a LONG way to go before it will actually work, but I'm confident enough to say it will have a pump sooner or later. The team seems to be working hard.
https://golem.network/
>What's the current price. Has it risen or fallen lately and where do you buy it?

>>1871959
>Which coin do you believe currently is undervalued?
PIVX
>What technology is new with this coin?
PIVX is the first proof of stake cryptocurrency to be based on the version 0.10 or higher Bitcoin codebase, and the PoS structure utilised does away with coin age, meaning in order to get the most out of your staking you must keep your wallet open at all times, resulting in more constantly available nodes, strengthening the network. No more users opening their wallet once or twice a month for a few minutes and getting rewarded equally with those that have 24/7 up-time with their wallet.
>Name something negative about the coin.
it's not very well known
>What's the current price. Has it risen or fallen lately and where do you buy it?
it has risen lately. the current price is about 16 cents. you can buy it at bittrex and will probably be added on poloniex soon.

That chart is the cumulative market depth of ETH on the exchange. Basically a visualization of the order book. It's also a much better indicator of the currency's value than market cap.

Each number isn't necessarily one trader. If someone placed an order for 5.1 at 34 and someone else placed an order for 14.2 at 34, then the chart (and the order book) would just show a total of 19.3 available at 34. People who place orders themselves tend to choose round numbers, which is why you often see high volume ("walls") on the rounder numbers. The more random-looking number choices are pretty much all from APIs. They often serve to increase price liquidity.

Why not just buy an ASIC like the S9 which produces 12.5TH/s, and mine shitty SHA256 alt coins like DEM, ZET, XJO, etc, then sit on them for a while until the price at least double or triples (which isnt too hard for coins like these to do) and cash the fuck out. It has a number of unique and innovative features and a nascent economy is developing around this coin [It is actually used to buy things with]. and the wallet has some never before seen features such as an anti-keylogger password entry system.

check out their ANN thread on bitcointalk

The BitBay Anti-Keylogger brings up an onscreen keyboard and a timer lasting approximately one second. When you hover over a letter with your mouse pointer the timer starts. If you move to another letter the timer starts over. If you stay on the letter you want entered, the timer completes and the letter is entered into the passphrase field.

In a world where even our own governments are caught attempting to monitor everything we do online, the Anti-Keylogger is just one more way BitBay is looking out for your security. I don’t know of any other cryptocurrency out there with as many built in features to assure your coins are never stolen.

I don't think it's a bad idea. Even though pivx is a great coin with great features, for something that's little more than a display of cryptonerd leet skillz it's getting a bit overvalued for something that has absolutely zero real world usage and is just a tool of speculation. I haven't found a single place that pivx is being used to facilitate commerce of any kind. and since it is not a crypto 2.0 project there is no facility for smart contracts to me it does not have much more room for growth.

bitbay on the other hand is actually being used to trade for goods on it's decentralised marketplace, and has smart contract functionality and is a crypto 2.0 project which gives it much better future proofing.

ARGS 420,000

Hope MAID starts pumping too at some point. Has been a bit disappointing recently. Aside from this, I pray that ARGS doesn't become a total write-off.

Been here since Bitcoin first surfaced but didn't invest until the LTC chikun arose in 2013.

>XMR
Always liked XMR more than Dash. Dash's launch was a bit fishy and pumps two years ago were mostly orchestrated by a few whales. However, it has fewer absolute and relative inflation. Relative because large parts of Dash emission goes directly to the largest holders (Masternodes) which have less propensity than ordinary miners to immediately sell the coins. XMR is cheaper atm. Should imho at least go to 2/3 of Dash valuation (maybe even reach parity or more).

>Ripple
Ripple strives to replace SWIFT and is a very atypical "crypto". Some argue it's not even a real crypto currency at all. They may as well call it Bankcoin.

GNT and STRAT are good alternative plays on ETH and BTC.
If ETH goes up, eventually, the big fat main apps should also hold significant value maybe even more than ETH itself. Internet companies like Amazon, Ebay etc. that run on the web are also worth way more than just the internet infrastructure.
STRAT will provide good value for BTC application no matter which BTC fork wins.

Crown

It's is another unique coin that utilizes the bitcoin core protocol and the Dash protocol, in short it is a force to be reckoned with. Crown transactions are fast, toppled with the bitcoin network security, and then another layer of security with it's own version of the masternode system. *Crown can also be merged-mined with the bitcoin network*

You're probably thinking, it's another PIVX. Well it's not. PIVX it's in a POS state therefore can no longer be mined. Also, this coin has about 4.5x LESS the amount of PIVX coins currently. There is a planned supply of 42 million coins throughout it entirety.

>Quick facts

>Currency is called Crown
>It’s ticker on Bittrex is CRW
>10,000 crown are needed to form a Throne (Masternode)
>Merged mining combination Crown & Bitcoin for stronger network protection and Masternode technology
>12,227,477 Crowns in circulation total supply 42,000,000
>the coin has a dedicated team of devs who's been working on the project since 2014

It's specs are basically on par with PIVX, the same PIVX that's dominating Bittrex volume. The only exception is that this coin uses Proof of Work and can be merged mined for network protection, and uses DASH masternodes network protection.

You'd have to wait for months or years, if ever, for them to rise in value. Then you have a timeframe of a couple days or weeks at best to get rid of the coin.

Have fun.

>alt coins going up

How does this work? If BTC suddenly skyrockets to the moon will the value of alt coins plummet? Is the strategy to trade the alt coins for BTC before this happens?

>> No.1887904

>>1887886
no, just look at the relative value in market cap. don think about it traded vs btc since US dollar is still the reserve currency. u can factor in inflation, but honestly btc up, and alts down only happens some of the time. it's not a mathematically proved pattern or something

>> No.1888321

You can keep your coins on coinbase at your own risk. The other option is buying wallet hardware which I wouldn't recommend with your small investment. Invest in coins that you believe have the potential to be a global currency or actually have a use beyond just being traded in btc exchanges in the future. There are some scam coins like Milcoin or dopecoin which a small number of people are trying to promote so they can cash out at the first bump. Learn to identify those coins. Bitbay has potential to be the ebay of blockchain so if you think there is validity to that then an investment is down to your own discretion. No one can prediect the future. I personally have over 18k bitbay that I plan to sit on for 4 years
