For all you retards saying "Muh market not duh economee" well your right, it's not. It's a tool to invest into expected future growth potential of our businesses. Currently equities are so overvalued your projected time frame for 100% return on the S&P is almost 25 years. If you sell your house right now and go all into the market, you will be expected to wait 25 years to see that money doubled. This is including expected growth for the S&P, meaning even if equity stays this overvalued all 25 years its still the same return. Does that sound like a good risk return to you?

financial sanity will return in one form or another. Already liquidity is spread so thin through the market we see huge warning signs. people are actually paying you to take delivery of oil off their hands, yet TSLA is somehow mooning? how can electric vehicles be the future if oil is so cheap you could skip a pack of ciggies and fill your car for the next 5 years instead?

With no liquidity cash returners are king. Tech will fail so utterly hard in the coming year and companies that can actually afford to dole out cash to their investors will be king.

No significant moves today, disappointed to see IWM continue to outstrip the ess and pee, my put spread isn't looking too good but there's still a good amount of time on it. Up .9% for the day, up .32% for the week. I've decided to recalibrate my strategy. I've taken a little control over my 401k finally and will devote mine and my employers contributions to creating my dividends to where I can do the DEW on that and use my robinmeme account strictly for that. After half a year picking up knowledge, studying and seeing how volume moves things in real time, I'm going to try and swing trade more into good companies. It is, it's pattern bubble right now. You can still ride it. Tech WILL remain near or higher than ATH even at proper valuation during covid as severely increased demand begets, but as things go back to normal they will fall closer to correct valuation (slowly) for the next year or two at least as business numbers go back to the next normal. However they cannot stay too down in the current environment, e.g. any tech company whatsoever that's less than 80% ATH is currently far UNDERbought.

> I feel better just losing to inflation than hopping on google and nvidia because the analyst's target price is higher.
You're too late at the moment to hop on them, but facebook was good money last week still, and so was snapchat 2 weeks ago. There are probably a few hidden gems here and there if you look but I'm happy with my laurels. Just gotta keep up with my stop losses and I'll be good.

tankers seem like a gamble. I'm waiting for May on oil. OXY RDS.B and XOM on my list.
I work in insurance, so I vaguely know finance and financial companies. The risk appetite for anyone buying in the last month must be huge. If your buying strategy is staggered and you hopped in between the 15th of March and the first two weeks of april, I get it, but now is really not the time if you're thinking about protection.

>>18666894
>tech is the most resilient in this brutal selloff
I think tech will see ripples the slowest. It's also able to go uninterrupted, but if the main revenue stream is advertising or selling data, they're going to see a decline in profits and need to innovate to cut costs. I'd be watching Amazon and Google like a hawk if i had them. I definitely would want tech that has revenue streams that look more like utilities. Amazon webservices would be >>> Amazon's retail on my lists.
>boomer value businesses getting raped because you need physical storefronts and expensive human capital to produce shit
I don't think you know what you're talking about, nor do I think you know what's really going on with these prices. it's much older than late 2019, that's for sure. Additionally, the retailocalypse was nearly over in 2019. The stores that are around now will likely stay around bar some of those mall inserts.
