Snapchat has zero reason to moon. Their platform is advertising.

Tech is reaching "New paradigm" levels of stupidity and it's smart to get the fuck out of there. Short stocks that have no business being high like Netflix and AMD.

>B-but tiger king and corona
Netflix has a shitty streaming platform that depends on "originals" because they keep getting jewed. Disney and Hulu are better platforms but they lack the name recognition of Netflix. If you look at the Netflix debt it's 14 billion. Their debt to equity ratio is 2, meaning that for every 1 dollar they make, they owe two.

This market is prime to fall as things continue to be locked up. At this point though I don't know when.

They have to continue forward with flawless execution. Their GPUs have repeatedly shown techincal flaws and do not compete with NVIDIA's actual high end, with exception given to the SSG. INTC is liable to whip their asses as they restructure their architectural modalities into MCMs and away from monolithic. Their process advancements will put them in parallel with TSMC. Geopolitical instability causing a schism between CN and everyone else will probably cause at least minute supply chain disruption, and if TW gets shook by CN TSMC is going to choke meaning AMD and NVIDIA are liable to lose their lithography contractor.

And their fundamentals just don't match. They only have their IPs and their IPs are only good as long as they remain competitive which has yet to be seen.

Seconding the possibility for an INTC rebound with their latest process technology node improvements (beyond 10 nm) and refinement of MCMs. Their process technology roadmap post 10 nm looks fruitful, and if there are any interruptions in TSM's throughput, INTC does have its own custom foundry now as well if they wanted to steal some market share.

>INTC is liable to whip their asses as they restructure their architectural modalities into MCMs and away from monolithic. Their process advancements will put them in parallel with TSMC.
Imagine actually believing this. Bad news Intcels, the process competitive advantage is in the dustbin of history. Intcel will never compete with TSMC ever. The only shot they had was making the 10nm process production worthy and they blew it. Something about a certain 300million dollars blown on one very worthless thing when it should have been spent on R&D. You know what I'm speaking of. Thanks but I wish. I'm about as seat of the pants discretionary as it gets. My trading rests on two fundamental axioms. In the long term the number will go up, in the medium/short term it will fluctuate and be tradeable. Right now I'm accumulating holds in my Robinhood account so the puts are there purposefully to eventually get assigned. Before that happens, it's a game of cat and mouse where I amuse myself seeing how much premium I can siphon off. My futures account on the other hand is where the real money and my trend following strategy takes place. Not a lot of complicated math nonetheless the gains are pretty regular. For what it's worth, I'm profitable this year despite the market shenanigans.

Actually while I'm thinking about it, lemme red pill you on something regarding writing options that isn't always obvious to neophytes.
Very rarely will a put or call you've get assigned early despite it dipping into the money. The upshot is pretty simple, one can write a call, put, iron condor/fly, whatever and give it however much time you want to expiration. At some point before expiry your strikes may get breached but don't sweat it, you probably won't get assigned. This gives you plenty of time to wait for a time when the price of the option swings back in your favor putting you in profit at which point you close. You probably won't get assigned when the counter party is in profit so just wait for your own opportunity at which point get out. So even if we have a big red day and I'm breached, big deal. FWIW, both my TQQQ 62 and 61 puts were breached yesterday yet I still have them. I'm only belaboring the point because the psychology of the likelihood of getting assigned despite the option being in the money significantly affects the long term profitability of option writing

REMINDER:

If you’re relying on the term “clown market” to describe a confusing and baffling situation, you should try being more imaginative and do more homework. Get curious!

ALSO:
The ECB is getting VERY close to announcing that they’re following the US federal reserve in buying “fallen angel” bonds. This WOULD juice the fuck out of the European markets, if it weren’t expected by most people.

Still, big money likes to wait for confirmation, and Lagarde is still new to the job. So I expect some green over this. I would NOT short the euroZone right now.

Futures are the badass. No pattern day trader bullshit, huge tax advantages, 23/5 trading, practically unlimited volume so spreads are usually one tick apart and the fees are structured so that you profit on the very next tick. And the best part is if you're a good trader you can make huge bank with the massive leverage they give you.
I trade mostly index futures with Amp Clearing. They're awesome as they have super low fees (78 cents for the micros) and really low margin requirements. To put those fees in perspective they're about 1/50 what you pay to trade bitcoin on most crypto exchanges.
The thing about futures though is if you don't have an edge as a trader you will struggle. I'd say the biggest problem for newfags is over leveraging. Start out with at least a $2000 account as an absolute minimum and if you go in that low trade the micro Russell since it has only about a $6000 notional per contract. That way when you buy one contract you'll only be 3x leveraged.
For trading, stick with a trend following strategy. The tried and true higher lows and higher highs. Then keep a tight stop. You'll make it

It’s futures contracts that are an obligation to receive 1,000 gallons at a terminal in Cushing, Oklahoma, at a set time on the 1st of the month.

>The specific costs associated with a failure to accept physical delivery depend on the specific contractual arrangements entered into by the futures contract holder and the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM)—the entity responsible for executing the buying and selling of futures contracts on behalf of a client. The possible costs could include a combination of direct monetary penalties, reputational consequences, the liquidation of the collateral deposited by the client in the margin account with the FCM, the revocation of trading privileges, and the costs of any legal settlements resulting from the breach of contractual obligations. As a result, holders of expired contracts obligated to take physical settlement rarely fail to take delivery.

Now, could you imagine why you would rather be holding a contract dated a month later at that time? Or perhaps, could you imagine a scenario in which more contracts are available for the nearer month than the further month?

Perhaps if more storage were available next month, more usage were likely next month, or less pumping were likely next month?

Or what if people had short-sold many of the contracts, and no one was willing to buy the contracts off the traders, because they could see the position those traders were in was about to explode? (I’m actually not sure if you can do that with futures contracts, so someone please correct me if I’m fucking up).

Or maybe more containers are being manufactured and will be available a month later, or the tanker trucks and railway cars take time to move to that specific terminal, and all the ones close enough have been allocated already?

You’re also literally describing contango, so if you’d like to know more you should read about it.

I have been working in the New York Stock exchange for 9 years now, toiling and smiling at the slimiest scum on earth, shaking hands with coworkers and clients pretending that I'm happy to see them. One benefit though is getting insider information, which I am sharing with you /biz/. Shit is absolutely fucked. These CEOs have no idea what they are doing, and are now panicking over how Corona ruined all their deals, delayed debt payments. Hyperinflation is about to set in this October. To prevent this, Trump will be working with the US Army Engineers to construct a giant printer. This printer will print a million times faster than any previous printer, being a 100 feet tall and 200 feet wide.

Apparently this project is under the name "Midas Rex". I have no idea how long they've been planning this as a contingency, but either way make sure to sell before the crisis comes, /biz/.

This is also why next months contacts are headed to zero for oil. People dont have enough room right now and demand isnt going to magically restore itself in a month. It might be even worse. Bloomberg wasn't joking when oil could go -100.

Just because a few high P/E companies have made it doesn't mean all high P/E stocks are good. More often than not, high P/E stocks are often bubbles.

P/E is based on the latest result. If you expect a company's profit to grow exponentially in the future then that is the case that you shouldn't mind the P/E.
However, the question is, do you expect a company like Netflix to be able to grow their profits exponentially

How much time have we got?
People say about 2 weeks but I say 3 weeks before reality kicks in because people are not spending.

I'm aware, everything you said was covered by me saying that P/E was the best way to value any non-startup. It's pretty rare for companys that have been around to suddenly spike in value, even rarer still is that value sustained for a significant period of time.

While that's likely the case, TV hasn't even existed for 100 years, so I'm going to stick with my opinion that valuing Netflix at over 100x earnings is absurd.
