Crimea is a neat situation, it used to belong to Russia but was turned over to Ukraine in 1954. Russians in Crimea have always hated being part of Ukraine, the country is much poorer than Russia (lol). Crimea has warm water ports which is useful for both trade and military reasons. But the last thing they want is for an anti-Russian government to form in the Borderland. They need it as a buffer zone.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2014/03/06/obama-ukraine-putin-sanctions-crimea/6113865/

WASHINGTON — President Obama on Thursday placed visa restrictions and economic sanctions on Russians who are determined to have been involved in military action in Ukraine.

...
The sanctions could also apply to some Ukrainians if they are found to have been involved in efforts to destabilize the country.

The sanctions announced Thursday are limited. They only affect funds in the United States, or controlled by U.S. financial institutions abroad. Visa restrictions and cancellations affect only travel to the United States.

Americans are much more concerned about domestic issues after the global war on terror ended. The problem is that our allies expect us to be involved even while they complain about it. Russia views it's own actions as being defensive.

We have a long-term interest in being the only global maritime superpower, we control the seas so we get to set trade policies. There may be regional powers but US policy will never allow for there to be 2 global superpowers again. So what limited actions we take will be in the spirit of this long term strategy.

Until 1954 is was Russian, they only gave it to Ukraine because they were defacto Russians at the time. The majority of the people there are ethnic Russians and there's a sizable minority there who do not like Ukraine. Warm water ports are too valuable to just throw away. It's just a defensive action to Russians.

http://www.kyivpost.com/content/ukraine/poll-most-crimean-residents-consider-ukraine-their-102113.html
>The number of Crimean residents who consider Ukraine their motherland increased from 32% to 71.3% from 2008 through 2011, according to the results of a survey conducted by the Razumkov Center together with the Frindrich Naumann Foundation in Ukraine. At the same time, this rate is the lowest of the regions of Ukraine. It totals 93% on average across the country.

You don't need a ton of money to invest depending on the broker you use. Most cases, you will spend $10 to buy and $10 to sell. So you need at least a $20 return to break even.

If you buy PLUG at $5.34 and want to break even at $7.50, you'd need to invest about $600 minimum. Any more that you invest is profit. Isn't the exact number, but I just rounded up to $600 to be safe. I invested $2,500 in FCEL and could sell my shares for about $5,350 at the moment.

I put blindly into that new recommendation on the other board. HYSR was a blind position anyways. One of those trusting people on the internet things. If you can't trust strangers on the internet, who can you trust?

Got in at 5.69 at around just after 1500 today. 33% drop would put it below the two bucks it was at before the pop to 8. So its probably not going to happen. also its rated 2.0/5 where 2.5 is hold.

So one of the best traders on the thread with constant good advice says if commodities break out silver is best buy. But you say you will dump some then right at the start of the uptrend breaking out. Yet i'm the autistic.

It's understandable you can't see how stupid your comment is, you are that stupid after all.

Where do you guys find all these hot stock market tips?

I have been researching various companies that I happen across but I want to start researching an entire sector and their peers, like maybe oil companies operating in the bakken shale or something like that.

Which sectors are bullish right now? I will share my findings with you guys in the hopes it might coax more ideas from you.

Because I can only afford a laptop that is 12 years old and cannot run any later kernel then i686. Most linux developers don't even support such an old kernel, yet alone any software developer. Buy me a laptop that doesn't sport 2 telephone jacks and a smell of mold please.
