Best way to make old gold luster? Anyone clean their gold?

You need to understand the original mint luster comes from the way the atoms on the surface of the coin are arranged. Modern us mint dyes for instance: the center of the dye protrudes very slightly from the rim so the center makes contact with the blank before the outer points. This alters the surface of the blank in such a way that you get the cartwheel effect in the final coin. Once the surface has been rubbed off no amount of chemicals will bring it back.

Cleaning old coins = ruining value

There is no way to get that true mint luster back, but there is a great chance of decreasing your coins value even more with cleaning.

Nothing looks more tryhard than a worn coin with atrificial shine.
Coinfags recognize these artficially shiny coins from a mile away.

Pure gold will never chemically lose luster, only from scratching.
Old and modern gold coins alloyed with copper, like Krugerrands and American Gold Eagles, lose luster because of the copper. Over time, then can become reddish.

Don't do it.
Wash your penis, not your silver.
