Doing whatever I want. Spent 8 hours yesterday playing Animal Crossing.

Surreal. Times passing but it doesnt feel like it. I was NEET back in 2011 and spent my days watching anime, posting of 4chan, playing videogames and reading visual novels. Also lots of masturbation. Its fun at first but then you start to feel left behind by the world.

I'm sitting in my bedroom, it's 3 am and I'm reading /biz/. I woke up at 9pm today, went to bed at around 2pm. When I woke up I checked my discord, my wow classic guild was doing a ZG run so I joined, left it at around 11pm.

Went out of my room, greeted my parents. Mommy told me she had left me some food for dinner and went to bed. Ate dinner while talking to my dad about COVID19, then I went to take a shower. Then I went back to my room and played some more WoW and now I'm here.

This is pretty much my day to day, with the hours at which I go to sleep and wake up varying wildly

The best part? Having no set time to wake up and go to sleep, the freedom to do whatever you want all day.

The worst part? At times you just can't help but feel useless, there are many coping strategies to deal with this feeling but the one I find the best for my case is just taking a critical look at the lives of people who I should be. Working at an office with people you don't care about, doing things that bore you out of your mind for money that you don't need. At times it truly feels like I am making the rational choice by being a NEET.

My mom thought I was a loser when I was getting shit grades in highschool, then when it ended and I couldn't get into university I pretty much asked the school to erase all records of my previous 3 years and I'd use the upcoming national exam grades as my highschool grades. Spent a year just studying for those exams and ended up doing well which put me in a good university. My mom was pretty proud at that point, she was also pretty proud once I graduated university 4 years later. Now it's been about a 6 months without being able to find a job but it's not for the lack of trying, I just appear really unmotivated in all the interviews I go to seeing as I have this feeling the moment I get a job I'm signing my life away

I've been a NEET for a week and a half now. Got laid off. My days consist of doing calisthenics exercises at the local outdoor park as well as on the paraletter bars I built, making meals (eating great now that I have time to prepare meals), and playing piano. I go for the occasional bike ride or walk as well.

I don't know why you faggot NEETS don't use time off to better yourself. Truly an underclass.

Once you are 3 or 4 months in you either really built that routine so much that you're essentially not a NEET and just work for yourself (i.e. exercise, piano etc) or you succumb to your basest pleasures like sitting in front of a computer all day doing nothing

I "knew" I was worthless until I got a job doing shit I like. turned out I knew as much if not more than my coworkers.

I was NEET for a good half a year after I got sick of my retail job, but I started fucking hating myself for my own sloth. I got a job, then went back to college, and now its like I never left being a NEET
