Have you ever lied on your resume? Did it help you to land a job, or did your (potential) employer find out and fuck your shit up?

yes and i went from 16/hr to 25/hr. I actually worked all the jobs i said, but instead of saying i was there for 2-3 months and quitting, i said i worked there for 2-3 years. in situations where i figured they'd check, i said that it was a 6 month "contract" instead of me quitting after a few months.

yeah, I had a co-worker who I lied as the manager of my work, that way when I used him as a reference he would just say he was the manager and give me a good rap

Yes, I landed a great first job by lying about 3 years experience at 2 companies, lying about internships, lying about gpa. In reality i was smoking 1 oz of weed every 10 days and rewatching Seinfeld/Frasier for 3 years since i got out of college with a 3.01 gpa. They did a background check on me so i bought 2 burner phones and used 2 burner apps and I would change the pitch of my voice/accent to impersonate the people they were contacting

but that aint nothing, i forged by highschool transcript to get into a top college in the first place. Heating iron to open transcript envelope without breaking it, specialty stamp shop for the official seal, and MS paint to give me straight As. This was back in 2010 so prob no longer doable. My entire life is basically a lie

Blacklisted by whom? There isn't some central wageslave database that all employers can check to see if you're telling the truth, you know.

what's funny is computers have actually made this process significantly easier instead of harder.
you don't need the physical resourcefulness anymore, just the social.

not going to elaborate here but I am in the same boat and helped get others through uni also. we're gonna make it!

You can do small lies on your resume with no issues buddy. Like your job title or things like that. That gets you through the door and gets you the interview. Then if you get a job offer and you go through the HR background check, you will have to fill a document with the actual accurate information you will have to provide.

Nonsense, I looked through the archives and the last one that got more than two replies was in May of 2019.
