SCM, from their 10k:
>The companies in which we invest are typically highly
leveraged, and, in most cases, our investments in such companies will not be rated by national rating agencies. If
such investments were rated, we believe that they would likely receive a rating that is often referred to as “junk.”

>We may issue debt securities or preferred stock and/or borrowmoney frombanks or other financial
institutions, which we refer to collectively as “seniorsecurities,” up to the maximumamount permitted by the 1940
Act. Under the provisions of the 1940Act, we are permitted as a BDCthat has satisfied certain requirements to
issue seniorsecurities in amounts such that ourasset coverage ratio,as defined in the 1940Act,equals at least
150% of our gross assets less all liabilities and indebtedness not represented by seniorsecurities, aftereach
issuance ofseniorsecurities. If the value of ourassets declines, we may be unable to satisfy this test. If that
happens, we would not be able to borrowadditional funds untilwe were able to comply with the 150% asset
coverage ratio applicable to us under the 1940Act. Also, any amounts that we use to service our indebtedness
would not be available for distributions to ourcommon stockholders. If we issue seniorsecurities, we will be
exposed to typical risks associated with leverage, including an increased risk of loss.

Not so sure. We might re-open even if the conditions aren't good to do so and then get fucked harder due to it. It is lose-lose come the end of the month and the beginning of May for those in charge. Also the market is basically more like lemmings than people, so don't think too hard about it. Being too smart has lost me more money than gain so far.

THANK YOU. I BEEN SAYING THAT FOREVER NOW. The longer it "flattens" the longer we stay shut down because recoveries from pandemics tend to be symetrical.

.....however, if you look at Italy's and numerous non-chink country's data (since asians can't be trusted), this hasn't had a symmetrical recovery but instead lingers on far longer. If we pull an Italy we are fucked until mid-June or later.

I have a few ideas here so let's hash em out.

Real estate bubble about to burst. Thousands of Airbnb hosts and regular landlords with no rent gonna have to give up their homes since they can't pay them. I have two stocks that seem promising, SRS and DRV, they're leveraged so it's about getting the timing right.

Gold is really high right now, but JNUG seems promising, with 900% earnings in 2016.

Oil will go down, supply is fucked, demand is fucked, quarantine will officially last more than what we have priced in. I like HAL and Scorpio Tankers, along with the large tankers. GUSH is done, ERX is done. OKE is solid.

Airlines seem to be losing money fast, but apparently there's rumors that Trump will start helping them out very soon.

Cruises are fucked long term, nobody will want to be on a cruise for a long time.

Banks are fine, especially those that handle risk well. Wells Fargo, JPM, BoA are all good options. Deutsche Bank is fucked.

Recession incoming, 2008 levels. Quarantine will last at least until June. Let's hope for the best.

i have done exactly that on multiple occasions, i get a combination of retards and people who don't really give a shit in return. there's nothing really in it for me to keep doing that, most of the time i'm just gonna be called some voodoo faggot and the best case scenario that could happen is... someone else makes money off of my analysis. that isn't even mentioning how easily it gets drowned out in the flood of shitposts, people probably just look at any predictions or analysis i'd make and think it's another shill shitpost and honestly i wouldn't blame them because that's like 90% of these threads.

i like to check this place out every so often during market hours but honestly it's way better during off hours or the weekends. slower and people actually talk about relevant news and ideas and stuff instead of OOOO AAAAA posting like some shitty forsen twitch chat or something.

I think you're dramatically underestimating the upside on RTX. Defense is the Raytheon core business, but with the Pratt and Collins merger they're also highly exposed to airline trends. That's why they're so much lower than NOC or LMT, but that's pure upside as airlines recover into 2021.

This meme really is getting old at this point. The only reason WWII got us out of the Great Depression is because war machines were simple back then and anyone could be put to work building them, so it created a lot of jobs.
Nowadays, the opposite is true. War machines are so complex and specialized that very few people have the qualifications to build them, and their manufacturing process has largely been automated anyway. Even things as common as guns have to be precisely machined to work properly, and that's why guns cost so much. War is actually bad for the economy now, because even more tax money would just get sucked up by the military-industrial complex instead of going towards actually helping people.

You guys are funny man. War doesn't make the economy better. It turns it into a war machine that grinds everyone into dirt. You won't be able to make money. Americans have this mistaken idea because they are told that WWII lifted them out of the great depression-- that's because the war only grazed them. It left Europe and Asia in ruins.
