Gold is a safer long term bet. Even at the current paper price of $1700 gold has returned a 8.3 % compounded rate annually for 48 2/3 years since Nixon abandoned the gold standard. Silver has a higher upside potential (pic related). So it depends on what is motivating you getting into PMs. You could always hedge and get a mix of both.

Copy and pasting from last thread because it reached bump limit and I was second last to comment.

He's probably wondering who in Gods name ordered all those coins and its souly users from 4chan lol. I dont think they will appreciate in value I think it's just a 4chan meme.

I am sticking to regular maple leaf coins personally. I have a valcambi multibar I wasted money on when I first started and a ten ounce bar but I learned fast that one ounce coins are the best overall. I like ordering the package where it's a dollar cheaper because you get them from any assorted year. All the ones I have received have no milk spots. I even got a few year 2000 ones that are "firework privy" (small picture of fireworks) that are worth more. The premiums on those bring the price to like 38 dollars. I'm waiting to order more because I'm not comfortable with the waiting times in case a company decides to steal my money or cancel my order due to a bull rush if that happens or something. I'm not an expert or particularly genius just sharing my piece.

I did order one special coin from Silver Shield because Chris Duane is awesome and I support him so I needed at least one of his coins. I got it for a steal of a deal the price went up 16 dollars within a week of buying it. Silver Shield is awesome and was worth the extra money. Something meaningful that will appreciate in value. Highly recommend. Pic related is the coin I got it's more beautiful in person and it's from 2013 he only started minting in 2012. Got the insignia on the back of course too. Bought a special capsule for it too for a dollar so it can be a conversation piece one day. I'll pass it down the family one day.

Comex is not insolvent RIGHT NOW. If the price discovery becomes accurate then Comex will blow up because they can't afford to settle contracts. This is why the volume in the futures market has been decreasing week and week this month. They have to unwind the short positions before they allow the price to go up.

When you see that most countries stock markets and or companies got btfo and only Dji survived more or less flawless it becomes clear that overall Gold performed quite similar to the stock market.

The batboi market cap is vastly smaller than most shitcoins shilled on /biz/. And due to how silver pricing works, there's essentially massive liquidity in the sell side (for now) so we can buy without slippage.

This is an actual opportunity for /biz/ to buy up all the batbois and then dump them on the normies.

Again, you guys keep valuing gold and silver in fiat. I'm the merc blowjob meme originator, i love silver more than giving chicks golden showers. But if you told me silver would be at 60$ and gold 4k in 5 years, I'd sooner sell my entire stack deposit it into binance and try and catch some TRON or Cardano pump.

Something has to break. Merely maintaining our already totally devalued purchasing power while the rest of the country goes into poverty isnt the reason to invest in silver. There has to be a reset, most go into poverty but then we get filthy rich.

This is why only 200 ounces of silver could be a make it stack. Silver goes to 200$, and you now have 40k. Big deal. 40k is nothing, but when there is a deflationary collapse of all asset prices, that 40k will be like having 40k in 1930 or whenever, when prices were cheap as fuck.

If silver only maintains while the rest of the country falls into the abyss, then there is very little reason to trade fiat for silver.

Well, this ends in the current parasitic class getting BTFO and an authoritarian government with no real affect because it's made of faggots and everyone that wants to make it having to work a lot harder and longer than they already do. So, there will mostly be a changing of the guard and the biggest mafiosi winning. There will be no war, no mass anger, just every day it will get worse. One day you'll just wake up and see on the news tanks in DC and listen to a speech about how things will finally turn around and get better - 'the corruption has to end and the people listened to!' Governments will try everything to keep power and they have all the guns and tanks. Fundamentally the West has been hollowed out and their isn't enough brains, strength and perseverance left to reverse the last three decades of slowly riding the the cliffs edge with so many useless mouths to feed. Ex-communist countries, when they collapsed, had an almost instantaneous optimism about the future and that within six months or at most a year things would be on the right direction and people would live the way God intended - wearing blue jeans, McDonald's on every second corner, Nike shoes and Coke in the newly purchased fridge. What actually followed was an even greater collapse for the next two decades. And only in the last decade have they all been digging their way out of it.

i dont know either we all get fucked to high heaven and rounded up and slaughtered by shitskins or everyone gets poor and we become very wealthy in comparison to your non stacker.

But it has to be relatively smooth transition in the sense that, basically 99% of the population probably doesnt own 1 ounce of silver, but that 1% who do....still make up what? 1-2 million americans? And Im guessing 90% of them dont own over 500 ounces. So...a lot will be destitute...but there are probably enough stackers with 100-500 ounces of silver where things can start building again. You wont need much to prosper if you have some.

The whales dipped their tow in the water. I don't even know about that analogy but I am sure you get it. That dip in the water fried the market. Normalfags are not at the stage of buying. Normalfags that have some silver are at the stage of unloading their mini stacks. Imagine thousands of idiots selling off 1-10oz of silver right now on eBay and other secondary markets - this is what's happening and it's pathetic. Fags like us are in the 100-1,000oz range and are just desperately hoping we'll be able to buy close to spot in the coming months and double, triple or quadruple our stacks. I've set aside some gay fiat to buy what I hope will be something like 4,000oz when things come back online. Ironically I think this volume by a small fraction of the population will be a nothingburger as normies will be enjoying their $40 sale the month before. I think by the time normies want to buy they will mostly be shut out of the market and resort to buying anything that's gold at silver... like spoons, pins, dishes and medals and all the shit that's got to be refined and I think that's going to be stupid as they might destroy a lot of value doing that. But normal people are retards and can't help it. I think we need to pray.

hey /k/omrade

The ASE and the AGE have lots of advantages because they are currency, specifically regarding counterfeit protection (fake ASE's fall under the jurisdiction of the secret service just like fake bennies), they are protected from capital gains tax bc they are us currency (unlike rounds like the buffalo), and they are easily recognizable (you'll have no problem selling)

you're on the right track, someone might tell you to buy some mercury dimes to have things that are easier for trade, but as far as asset protection goes ASE/AGE is what I'm going with. I might pick up a 10oz bar or two if the premiums are low enough. Consider that everything you have will need to be sold or verified for collateral.

Stay diverse, keep cash on hand so you can buy if you need to, keep pms on hand if cash dumps. don't get overbought in pms by going in too quick.

Dollar cost average, buy the same amount once a month and slowly stock up over time, just like how you would a accumulate ammo 1k rounds at a time over a few years

Welcome. You'll soon realize most of the burgers posting in /pmg/ are /k/ as well. Lots of crossover with the PM and 2A community. I'd recommend just getting whatever you can closest to spot atm. Premiums are insane especially on ASE. One thing to note is in the long distant future, when the fine comes to sell if you have over $10k you'll there will need to be a capital gains tax filed, UNLESS it's ASE you can sell any amount with no tax filing. Again with the inaccurate information. Does anyone ITT actually read the law?

1. ALL PM SOLD in USA ARE SUBJECT TO CG TAX. NO EXEMPTIONS. American Mint bullion are NOT exempt.

2. The $10k rule is just for reporting that people bought/sold PMs. That's the only thing in the form people have to write when you sell $10k+. It's not "filing capital gains tax." Sure, if you sold with cash you can just hide the money and not pay taxes. Just let's not pretend that the law actually lets you do it.

3. It's not just ASE's that are exempt from the 10k form rule. Philharmonics, maple leafs, etc. are all exempt as well. It's not just American eagles.
