I really dig the 80s/90s aesthetics

This is really good.

Ray Krock was pretty cool guy

Anyone else see it?

Other people's money was pretty enjoyable OP.

Big Short was great and really managed to catch the Wall Street spirit

Dinner for Schmucks and the movie it was based on are more /biz/ than any of those other ones.

Underrated mentions include Le Capital (2012) and The Outsider (2016). All French

>>1841284
Yeah. Even the music ~felt~ like Wall Street

Essential biz-core classic.

Though if you're just going for 80s/90s biz aesthetics, Pretty Woman is a great feel-good film for that. Kiss your man card goodbye.

I saw it, Ray Krok was an ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meh its highly implied that the failure they are panicking over would be a series of progressive margin calls. There's a line that's like "once we're past this point, it's absolutely inevitable". What that means is once they get liquidated on a certain position there is more sell pressure and combined with the margin calls of their peer firms it's a positive feedback loop that will bankrupt the entire firm

Absolutely loved it. The guy is a genius and how he started with nothing and built an empire is just inspirational. Sure he did some shitty things but he made up for it by paying them well.
