What if, after all is said and done, and the job market clears of all the nonessentials and there is a massive glut of unemployed, manufacturing comes in en-mass to America?

People who would normally stick their nose up to manufacturing jobs or at the least were never really exposed to manufacturing opportunities now find themselves surrounded by labor jobs that need filling. I could see America subsidizing manufacturing start-ups and getting the ball rolling on American manufacturing again.

What if after all of this is said and done, we learn about the cost of relying on global trade?
Do you think we will see an Industrial Revolution 2?
The only way I can see it going bad is that we try to compete with China and start treating our people like garbage, but Americans have a lot of pride and a fundamental understanding of how they want to be treated, backed up by the constitution and our own hubris. the minimum wage law might get lowered but it would be for the sake of bolstering manufacturing. If we do this right, things can be real fucking neat. Its just a matter of maintaining a clean environment and not compromising our ethics for the sake of cheaper labor and goods.

Could this unironically make America great again?
We cant continue to duck out of working hard, forever.

do you really think 6+ million Americans are just going to continue being unemployed while robots using internet funnymoney take over everyone's jobs?

We get heated over mexicans taking low-level agricultural labor and gardening jobs. Do you think Wall-E stands a chance?

6+ million isnt enough, the next wave of automation kills off like a third of all jobs worldwide in the next 10 years.
>are just going to continue being unemployed
they will get UBI and everytime when they are about to chimp out the jew overlords will yell out CORONA IS BACK and force panic and social distancing upon the unwashed masses so they wont organize against this brave new world.
