You fell for what we investors call a BEAR TRAP. This is when a huge rally is beginning but before the exponential increase, there's a small dip. Smart money like myself, we were in before the secondary dip (I bought in at the absolute bottom of the corona hysteria) but less smart but still intelligent money buys in during the secondary dip. The bear trap refers to bearish people (referred to as dumb or stupid money) believing that dip to be a bull trap and either sell their stocks or buy puts. Either way, dumb money (bears) are essential to the stock ecosystem as they give their stocks up cheap for smart money investors to profit from. It's a system that redistributes wealth from the idiots to the intelligent people, which is exactly how an economic system should work. I myself am already up 17k from this ordeal and should be able to double that profit by the end. And that's all bear money (dumb money) directly in my pocket.
As an aside, Bernie dropping out gave a nice little pump in my portfolio to. It's nice that both of us (he can definitely buy his fifth house now) were able to profit off of naive leftists

Near as I can tell from a quick Google search, you still own the shares so long as the company is a going concern. You just cant sell them on the market.
