Stimulus checks begin tomorrow, lads. You are going to put it towards shiny metals, right? Those mother/daughter blowjobs aren't paying for themselves!
>>18365579>4% annual gainskeep holding those fucking rocks faggots
>>18365579Based. I'm looking to get a platinum eagle.
>>18365579Yes. Should I drop some on crypto like link as well?
>>18365684Yes. Link is a good hold.
>>18365579Do stimulus checks really drop tomorrow ?
>>18365590Look at this poorly. How is your ones and zeroes going, dork? You can't even fondle anything from your $5 robinhood portfolio. The only blowjobs your getting is from your own lips, you back-broken cooler you
>>18365703When is the time to buy? Whenever I have discretionary $$$ or should wait until it dumps again?
>>18365733I've heard either the 9th or the 15th. I know it depends on how much money you made. So if you made less than 10k you should get your direct deposit first. Paper checks don't go out for awhile.
>>18365740No. But they can move from various crypto into BTC, and you can buy PM with BTC
>>18365751I would buy some now to at least get a stack started. Even if it's just a little. Link usually retraces after a pump, so you might have to wait some time for it to go. Below 3 bucks again. Also, it's still uncertain what the Coronavirus will do to the crypto community after this slight rebound. It could dip again.
>>18365797I downloaded blockfolio. Is there an app to buy as well? Any other coins to keep an eye on? Also any good videos ok YouTube to get me started? Thx
>>18365579I'm going half and half with mine. Spend 600 on an entry-level ar15 and 600 on precious metal. Thinking of going mostly silver with a little bit of fractional gold just for diversity. I already have a pistol and shotgun so I might decide against the ar15 and go 1000 in metal and 200 in bitcoin for my first purchase. Are Brittania 10oz bars still fashionable? They're my favorite. Are there any other "MUST HAVE" pieces you'd recommend? I can spend over spot for a pretty piece
>>18365845Get a PSA Premium Upper. Great price on an AR slightly above entry
>>18365845I'm getting a couple of those brittania bars. Those are nice!
>>18365740you sound poor as fuckyou will never make it in life
Look at what just came in the mail
>>18365740It doesn't matter. What do people want? Stable money. What is stable easy to transact money? Crypto. Don't worry, your precious metals will go up too. But not nearly as much as these scarce nonmetal internet game token money's that I can literally pay you at any time instantly instantly and it eontbdepreciste due to obvious demand. I love silver more than gold too but shit the fuck up until we stop being able to find your shiny rocks on the ground
>>18365936Silver is an industrial metalThoughts on palladium and platinum as alternatives to gold?
>>18365579I'm already right-side up on the gold I bought. Starting to think the silver was a mistake.
>>18365827I use coinbase pro, abra, and crypto.com apps for buying crypto. I tend to stay away from crypto YouTube videos as they are usually centered on price predictions rather than news. I suggest reading the white papers of any crypto projects you're interested in and following any relevant news developments.
>>18365966the fact it is an industrial metal makes it finite.this increases value over time
>>18365845Highly fucking overpriced. I get silver eagles with 5-6 dollars per one due to demand....but this? This is fucking disgusting
>>18365979True, and we are growing deeply in the solar panel era. Each panel takes 1 ounce of silver to make.
>>18365977Thx for the info. I asked in some chainlink threads earlier and it was a shitshow of elitism and "lurk moar". Idiots don't realize you want more people buying in
>>18365996no shit ahahahathats fucking retarded
>>18366013Based. I could put my oilfag money into silver
>>18365996what do you think a good price for it would be? around 170? personally I'm waiting for panic-buyers to sell off their stacks in a month or two for cheap once they realize silver won't save them from Corona-Chan.
>>18365996That's gouging like a mfer. They're normally a small premium per ozt over spot. Last listed price on JM is like as low as $184
>>18365996Going back on this, literally $24.50 per ounce. Might as just well ask to be kicked in the balls by the mail man as he is delivering it too.
Whos got the best price on silver krugerrands, want to buy a tube.
>>18365579I refuse to accept any money or benefits from the government unless I was crippled.I will be taking 80% of my next two honest pay checks and buying several 100oz silver bars.
Owning and handling physical PM feels good in this absurd world. It's real, and will always have real value, and can't be taken away from you except in an unlikely break-in. Effective tax rate is over 80%, our currency is being devalued, and our country is being destroyed.
>>18365891I've never seen a photo of those that do justice to how beautiful they are up close in person.
>>18366013indeeddont disregard all aspects of the medical field.fuck i wish i owned more than 130 pieces
>>18366043well, due to literal coomers that literally buy up anything that has women on their silver, you won't find any of those bars for anything in 170. Especially during these hell times. Last year I had my eye on them and wanted them pretty badly. Bidders every fucking chance I had always were willing to bid over logical prices to just have it. If you want one of those, you will not pay a reasonable price. Big girl Britannia by the bar size are overpriced sluts.
>>18366082BasedI got my first silver bar today, first time ever holding silver inhand
>>18366104Based.https://youtu.be/GajK6Vrh2Rs?t=98
>>18365979Short term bearish, long term bullish.
>>18366104You got price gouged
>>18366123always holding value
>>18366094Libertads are La Reina of silver coins. The only coin possibly more beautiful than even the ASE.
>>18366120>>18366104Since you got a bar you can get a neodyn magnet and also physically feel the properties of silver as you move the magnet over it. If it's a strong enough magnet you can also feel it on oz size coins.
>>18365936>eontbdeprecistewont depreciate?
>>18366143When the supply starts to wear on industry silver will not be proportional to history. It will mathematically grow in value.
>>18366082Yup. That is why to overfuck these jews handing out free certificates of (haha money go brrrr $1200 funny money) I will throw that money to someone and buy PMs with it. $1200 in REAL money. No green shitty paper. When you hold gold and silver, you know you are holding something special. I remember reading something that people who were raised around when junk silver was common that grown ass men would hoard the stuff because they thought it would go high in price later. They were so right.
>>18366148I got this one yesterday.
>>18365966Palladium and platinum both have limited numbers of primary mines operating today. To this day 40% of platinum mined world wide comes from placer deposits, mined small scale in places like russia and alaska. Palladium only has I think 3 operating major mines running right now, and those are only short term mines unless more ore is discovered. these metals values will go nuts eventually as fewer and fewer mines can meet global demand.
>>18366178>I remember reading something that people who were raised around when junk silver was common that grown ass men would hoard the stuff because they thought it would go high in price later.Yeah, I regularly see old guys selling bags and buckets full of old swedish coins from before they went nickel. I bought a couple below spot lots and turned them into bars at the refinery. (I didn't melt the primo condition coins ofc)
All we need to do is a distributed version of what the Hunt Brothers tried to do. If everyone just starts buying physical Silver it will collapse the whole system and fuck most of the bankers into oblivion.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zci9z_gLMrQ

>>18365579>>18365579>>18365579Poured vs Pressed, which is most aesthetic? just picked both of these up the other day. Is shot ever worth it if I want to pour my own custom bars?
>>18366214That's why we need more people to spend their stimulus checks on silver>>18366221Out of all the yes memes, this one made my sides explode my window.
>>18366257Someone smart needs to write up a good due diligence on why buying silver is the smart money move right now and post it over for the faggots at WallStreetBets on Reddit. I can't post there I don't speak faggot talk good enough.
>>18366248For pure asthethics I prefer vintage classic rectangle bars with some wear and patina. But I understand a lot of people do and they come with a premium.
>>18366248Two years ago when I was in a pinch for money BADLY because of a medical crisis that left me out of work for 3 months, I sold all my silver. A lot of it was poured. The guy I went to said my shit would be worth a lot more if I had it in silver eagles. I sold it all but I lost a lot of money.I follow a golden rule now. 90% of my shit is silver eagles, the rest is whatever else I want. I do have one poured 10 oz bar since poured is the best looking shit out there.

>>18366248poured will always be my favorite
>>18366286>some wear and patinawell at least some people like it. I feel like a stupid asshole but I was being dumb and tossing my Perth bar and my Monarch Poured bar in my hand for fun and ended up scratching some of the "matted" silver from the back off and now there are shiny streaks all over the back of my matte-silver perth. Luckily i have a second Perth in a case to stay safe and pretty looking, but I clearly wasn't aware of how easily silver can scratch other silver.

>>18366292I wonder why though? Once per once, what makes an ASE "worth" any more than a bar? I thought weight is all that REALLY mattered at the end of the day? I only starting off my stack so I'm only at 7.6 ozt right now, but if ASE's are truly where the money is then I'll start buying those too, they're still an ozt of silver either way.
>>18366407go for it
>>18366474yeah feel free to laugh, at least I learned a lesson. Overall I don't think the price will be effected since melt-price is king but I just don't enjoy looking at the bar as much anymore. >>18366801All are good - easy to recognise. When stocks get back start buying 5-10oz a week with your pay-packet. Keep them with the dealer until postage becomes worth while (normally at 60oz). Everyone that works should be doing this. For every 100oz of silver you should also buy 1oz of gold. When stocks are back to normal, buy fractional coins so it's easy going. The premium of fractional coins in gold are OK to live with especially from 1/4oz.
>>18366178> OverfuckI fully support you but imagine being this minor that we literally have to take free money from them to buy shit that they also control. I love silver, gold, and guns but the best way we can *overfuck* them is if we all buy Kleros and demand a trial for their economic crimes via the decentralized jury that is mostly bizlets. Or I can do JM Bullion with their "5+ days shipping" and get 140 oz in 2020 ASE's since mints are closed, mines are closed, I figured 2020 will have a limited number and I heard it is the last year for the current design so these might be worth more than usual for an Eagle.Or I guess I could just get 20oz of 2020 ASE's and use the rest on bars. I could get like 160 oz that way.

Some of 5 francs, something like 10g at 835/1000, never bought them, my granpa gave me them

I'm a stacklet who recently purchased some silver. I'm trying to understand more about what actions I should take with my silver when it comes time to act. I understand that precious metals are a store of wealth, but at some point you'd want to spend that wealth which would involve selling for currency or using the coins themselves to buy assets. In a hyperinflation scenario when people are rushing to buy precious metals the price will soar, if I sold then I would gain a lot of currency. But in hyperinflation any currency I earn may become worthless pretty quickly right? So is there some protocol as to when to sell your silver for currency? Do you wait until there is value of the dollar starts to increase or do you wait for the scenario in which the dollar is worthless and a new currency is issued? At which point I would have retained my wealth and would be able to sell my silver for new said currency and then purchase stocks or whatever. If the goal is to use the silver as a means of trade how does this happen? I find it hard to believe we will really go back to using precious metals as money because hardly anyone has precious metals.
Ive asked this question before in other boards. No one answered haha
why hould I hold smtg that gives 4% annual gains
>>18373968you wouldnt, youre so braindead that you think in terms of fiat and destined only to be a debt slave
>>18373821you barter with silver instead of currency, literally that simple
>>18374013>you wouldnt, youre so braindead that you think in terms of fiat and destined only to be a debt slaveBut your inflation has years to come to happen (20 years). After 20 years metals COULD COULD do a x10But stonk market and crypto do that on monthly basisSo why to invest in gold again?
>>18374023I see. So we'd be living in a situation where both precious metals and currency were being used in trade and so using silver as barter would be the best way to retain and use your purchasing power whereas notes of currency would only decrease in purchasing power?
>>18374058You’re ducked if you think hyperinflation is 20years out
>>18374093pretty much, if someone where to offer me to be payed in silver today i would probably accept as long as it was equal to or greater than the value of the current currency, and in a hyperinflation scenario i would not accept currency at all due to the uncertainty of the currency thus making silver a great hedge

>>18374152Great thanks. Would you use silver to buy stocks? That seems like it would be a good idea once everyone is out of the stock market and prices are cheap. How would you go about that? Or maybe you could sell your silver for currency and use the currency to purchase stocks?
>>18374216probably sell it for currency and then quickly purchase stocks in that case, otherwise investing in things like land and other equities seem to be the better choice to me atleast

Keeping up with inflation +4% still counts as winning, even if you lose out on gains you could have made in crypto or stocks. You also always have the option of making PMs just one part of a portfolio representing 5, 10, 20% of the whole.
>>18374423>>18374258Also you can think of the potential losses you mitigated by investing in PM instead of gambling it on shitcoins

>>18375472Because they sell, obviously. The better question is why is the shape shifter on the otherside so prevalent on coins across the world even now?
>>18375359In a serious hyperinflation situation what often happens is that individuals start ignoring the laws on what is and isn’t legal tender.A mix of the best alternative currency and metals takes the place of the national currency. Precisely what is accepted where is at the whim of that individual merchant.A look at history gives you an idea what that looked like. Before the 19th century you had much more of a free market in currencies, in many countries a mix of coins people were most familiar with were used in markets and stores. In the US this was a combination of Spanish, US and sometimes Chinese silver coins although the latter over time acquired a reputation for being forged.Basically you can imagine a future where only the most widely recognized and trusted coins are in broad circulation (probably pre-1960s junk silver and gold dollars because they’re hard to forge along with kruggerands and maybe gold maples) while coin shops will be happy to accept a much wider variety of new old and foreign coins. That’s basically how commerce worked in much if not most of the world before the 19th century.

>>18376533Fiat is is fine medium of exchange. It is a terrible medium of storage. So I'd convert silver to fiat to buy all the things I buy right now, but I'd only exchange just enough silver to buy exactly what I need. That would mean I'd visit the coinshop, or whomever, once every two weeks or month or whatever. So food, supplies, taxes, ammo, property. >>18379868The spot price has been real for a long time. I've bought at close to spot for coins for a few years now. At this moment it's not happening but it will come back. From my own analysis more physical gold and silver was bought since the start of March to equal more than an average year of sales... and I suspect if there was more to sell even more would have sold. However it's clear that larger dealers have been told to slow down sales, stop sales etc. I've already covered the offer of paper gols/silver being offered now from phyz dealers. The problem is getting your hands on it from a reputable source. People that have a lot of money to drop aren't interested in eBay and secondary markets they want straight from a real dealer. The way gold and silver sold out was as follows: dollar coins first of 1oz size then everything else, followed by dollar coin bars (which there are very few of), followed by non-dollar coins then bars, followed by small bars, then large bars then meme coins that are over priced then 400oz bars. Basically, all that happened over less than a week at most major dealers. It wasn't like there were tens of thousands of peoples rushing the dealers to make the fill... in some cases a couple dozen orders cleared dealers out of almost everything. Today some dealers got some stock back and are open for business.. though I suspect the sales are not going to start backup as people with real money wait and see where they should throw their money at. It might end up being at the COMEX as they are stocking up and if they believe the end is neigh they don't care about coins anymore and it's all about quantity. I don't believe this is that moment though.
