My friend works in Finance, buying and selling stocks for a very large energy company, and he says he expects atleast a 15% pullback from the lows we had a few weeks ago.

With that said, he's constantly wrong about similar things (said market was going to crash if Trump got elected, didn't happen. Said in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 that there would be a recession in "12 months", didn't happen. Said Trump was 100% guilty of colluding with Russians, didn't happen. Is 100% sure Trump will lose 2020.

Meanwhile I've been right a lot lately, and I think we're at the bottom. Everything just seems priced in. Nobody is expecting companies to show good profits during this. Just as the markets didn't react over the unemployment numbers when they came out, people already knew it would be bad. And I think we're seeing that Corona was overblown. The economy in the US was shut down based on early projection numbers that showed millions dying. Those numbers have now been severely reduced. Panic and despair brought the market down, and hope and relief will bring it back up, which is what we're seeing now.

If it does drop again below the lows we just saw, it won't be for atleast 5 months. Till then it's a good time to make money.

imo stocks are the safer play right now if you want short term gains. Wait for the pullback on thursday and have your buys ready 5 minutes from the closing bell.
