the double bottom theory is almost completely merit less. It's something that you can only think up if you believe in gobily glook crap.

Think about it logically and not looking to the past, but really understand the psychology of the market today, during a pandemic, and everything.

It's almost impossible the conditions that led to -35% will exist again especially when so many places have less hospitalizations and more discharges than hospitalizations.

Also the Data itself will bias you. You have to be very careful when looking at any of the statistics coming out now and make sure to normalize them and ignore peaking.

Q2 Earnings will be past the pandemic curve and ignored vs guidance

By then Regeneron and other antibody treatments will be hitting market and probably get emergency authorization. Not to mention plasma treatments and other treatments (remdesivir)

Everything is going to be fine. The bear case.. you need a lot more to happen for the bear case to materialize. You are on completely wrong side of probabilities.

Like the bear case arguments have zero merit... it's actually ridiculous people are predicting a double bottom. They need to reset their mind and go from the simplest and barest analysis of the current situation.

The double bottom shit requires so much warped thinking to arrive at. The past 2 weeks of meh drops should show that the type of market movements that led to -35% off EVERYTHING wont re-occur.

kek that would make locking down pretty pointless

We would to shift to a majorly stay-at-home world, where PPE is used regularly when people need to conduct business outside the home. People in "essential" fields could get special testing or monitoring and "clearances" for maintaining appropriate distance from all other people. I dunno some weird chink-like monitoring to make sure the essential go to work and never get near the infected.

You might even get lucky and the next week AT&T drops 2 bucks on news they ran out of nude women for Westworld, then you buy them back for cheaper and then the porn industry agrees to aid HBO and you make 1.5 a share.

for investing. You want to use indexes for the majority of your investment and maybe a small % in companies you for whatever reason really like.

You want to just add and add, have iron hands on downturns, and wait very long periods of time for the returns to accumulate.

Trading is when you buy/sell, pick stocks, and try various strategies to improve your returns. It requires a lot of time and some edge on the market. It's not recommended because 90% of the time you won't beat just buying SPY and holding.

The other option is adjusting your risk levels to something higher for larger returns and larger losses. In this case you are simply saying you want to gamble a little more. Adjusting risk level can be done by going for leverage, using options, leveraged ETF, or margin.

In these cases you increase returns but at the cost of risk.

The other thing is interest rates, stimulus, and lots of other factors that will create growth. It's the type of environment you want to be in the market during.

If you go back pre-corona and analyze what this environment would lead to, it's very very bullish.

I don't see interest rates rising in 2020 at all or less stimulus being injected. You have a high chance of some type of additional trillion to two trillion package being passed later this month on top.

IF you project an end to lock down early May, it's VERY obvious why you would buy now.

The bear argument, 3+ month lockdown, doesn't seem very likely at all.

This is what happens, the futures plummet, its going down. Once it reaches red the federal reserve, or jerome more specifically, they panic and say "oh shit, only one thing to do".Jerome then proceeds to pump like no tomorrow, desperately attempting to slow the decline, halt the plummet. This is why youll see it crab for a bit now as the fed pushes back against a crashing economy.

The best mindset is one that oscillates quickly. So you can actually get out in time. Never reinforce your bullishness or bearish sentiment as things go up/down, always reduce them.

So many lose out because they have TSLA and hit 800, then start dreaming of selling at 2000, and same with bears dreaming of TSLA 200 instead of covering at 400
