I want to start accumulating copper rounds once Chinese housing bubble pops.
Any ideas regarding designs and other things?

it has almost zero monetary value. Buy gold if you want metal money.

the word you are looking for is "oxidize."

I know but still I want 5-10kg of copper rounds just for kicks. Not now, when price crashes.

When I began getting into PM's years ago, I tossed a hundred on copper rounds at around 99 cents each. So 5 tubes, of neat intricate designs, don't get me wrong. They're still pretty as hell, but they are essentially collectibles and not truly all that valuable. I've given them away as gifts over the years, One dealer was even super chill and swapped out a tube for a silver oz. He wanted some for his customers too.

They're more curios than bullion OP. And I made a beginner's mistake. Still have a tube sitting around to play with but don't intend to get any more.

Don't bother. Dealers typically sell at metal price + markup, but buy at metal price. To actually make a profit you need the metal price to exceed the markup.

Maybe you could buy a tiny amount so you have your shiny trinket and you can figure out that it is a terrible investment, without wasting all your money.

no
copper is being replaced by things like PEX for water piping and its electrical demands could be replaced by wireless inductance or graphene

i just dont see copper being worth the effort to store and trying to find a buyer

Dude. Don’t buy rounds. If you wanna stack copper buy wheats on ebay or just get some fucking raw wire
