It's not. DNA has two use cases at the moment. One of them is compensation to network participants for testing the system and providing feedback to devs. Keep in mind Idena is still in early public testing phase even though it's technically speaking a mainnet at this point.
The second use case that came a little earlier than devs anticipated is speculation, that came to be through listing on qTrade. This also forced the network to switch from testnet to mainnet as there cannot be any adjustments or rollbacks now.
Development focus is mostly on technical aspects of perfecting the proof of humanity validation process. Anything related to coin value comes after that - around Q3 2020, according to official roadmap.

Epoch is once every 10 days at this point. This will be adjusted as more people join the network (with eventually validation occurring every 3 months iirc). You will need to be on the Idena client at the exact time validation starts (be on 5 minutes early, the client will warm you before validation). Short session (4 flips) is only 1 minute and 30 seconds long followed by a long session (16-20 flips usually) which gives you about 20 minutes to complete.
