I've been reading through this book for a bit and it seems to have a very slow rate of character development, so it's a bit lengthy in nature.

I've read some synopses for the book, but I'm failing to realize the potential applied knowledge.

I'm not reading it to be entrenched in the story but for the /biz/-perceived value that it supposedly holds. I have been failed by 4chan many times by falling for advice that ended up just being a meme, so does reading this lengthy book give me any better insight to anything regarding business?

Reading a lengthy 19th-century Russian novel about a guy continuosly getting cucked by everyone because of his good-willed nature isn't my cup of tea.

If the /biz/ moral is to just fall on logic and reasoning to guide action, and to understand that the general public will use a person's vices, behavior, and desires against them, then this isn't the best book to read.

I think it feeds into the Marxist undertone that is clearly present in the /biz/ reading list.
