Allow me to spacesperg a bit here. Normal rockets (everything pre-Falcon, not including Shuttle, which is it's own weird thing) are disposable. They get launched into space, and pieces fall off, and the whole thing ends up either in space or in the ocean. Atlas, Saturn, Proton, Soyuz, all of them end up in the ocean. Falcon 9 recovers the first stage, which is 80% the cost of the rocket. That's allowed SpaceX to basically dominate the commercial launch market right now. But that's not where they're stopping, because the upper stage is still discarded. So SpaceX is building a MASSIVE, fully reusable rocket, that can be refueled in orbit. Starship is as big as a Saturn V, more capable, and REUSABLE. So it's 90% cheaper per launch. And they're building a factory in Texas (more of a shipyard desu) to build one every 72 hours. A fully reusable Saturn V sized mega rocket every 72 hours. And nobody is even trying to compete. It's like a 747 compared to the Wright Flyer. And they actually plan to use it in "earth to earth" mode, which means it actually competes with airlines.
