You can extract hydrogen from oil, right?

You can even extract from coal mines. In Poland new techniq was tested where you have very flat coal layer, set it on fire and collect hydrogen.

You see, while the headline sounds promising, there is no viable tech to store hydrogen and use it as a fuel. THERE IS NO SAFE TANKS TO HOLD IT!
you either make it as you go (electricity), or you are unsafe having it in your tank.
It's "sell the news".

Invest into Japanese manufacturers. They are balls deep into gas powered cars and didn't (completely) fall to the electric vehicle meme.
>inb4 but muh explosion danger
Electric vehicles and gasoline vehicles explode harder and are much more dangerous.

hydrogen is the future

>> No.18311763

>>18310976
You extract it either from natural gas (cheaper), or from water through electrolysis (costlier, except if you are Iceland).
The future is hydrogen. Batteries will never be able to power bulldozers, ships, or airplanes. Hydrogen can - and it doesn't use up tons of lithium.
In the next century you will have desert countries with a coastline manufacturing hydrogen through electrolysis powered by solar thermal electricity. Instead of exporting oil, Arab countries will be exporting hydrogen (either pure, or as ammonia).

He doesn't know that hydrogen moves up and burns quickly in tall column, while petrol moves down, spills and burns everything around it for half an hour.

Hydrogen is the safest energy storage, even fire fumes are life giving h2o.
