Congratulations on your masters! Maybe people here don't appreciate just how challenging this can be!
My advice is to just be patient as you now have a winning hand. You will probably be retrained by the company you eventually work for but that should be a easy at this point (Unless you hate chemistry and just got the degree for shits and gigs?)
congrats again!

3.5

>> No.18288936

>>18288718
doubt it was exactly 3.5, probably actually a little above or below. also where did u go for undergrad? The colleges that graduate the most engineers are Virginia, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Purdue, all are much higher ranked than Texas A&M at the undergraduate level and graduate level. You have to compete against them along with already established engineers. Also did you do research?

To add to that, masters degrees are becoming expected in engineering. 8% of the U.S. population has a master's degree, which is substantial. Engineering is just over-saturated just like any other high paying field and there is no way you will ever find a good paying job unless you own a business.

Unrelated but I’m taking Chem 1 and I fucking HATE this class and my professor is a biiiitttcchhh

>> No.18289014

Chances are you're hiding the other half of the story. I went to one of the lowest quality accredited schools in Texas, and everyone with a bachelor's degree now has a job. You either have some sort of crippling mental disease, put forth minimal effort in job searching, or have done something that makes you unemployable. People who cheated their way through school with a 2.9 GPA have engineering jobs.
