US cases will slow down to some extent, how much is hard to say because US totally fucked up corona management in the beginning and let it spread uncontrollably for 1.5 months and is not having a massive backlog in tests. For now it looks like it's going to take a while and there might be a sudden new wave of infections once the other states that do not implement restrictions fast enough explode into NY levels.

Do not compare to Italy ect, they take their lockdowns seriously unlike the US.

>> No.18276803

>>18276757
No they just imprisoned suspected cases until they could confirm they weren't infected. Like Israel.

>> No.18276832

Coronavirus is most certainly not a meme, and is in fact a really bad thing. It is not apocalypse, though precisely because we managed to contain it and told everyone to stfu at home. If literally just double of the people who are sick now would have gotten sick, the hospital systems would be overloaded to hell and back, and then EVERY new patient from ANY disease just fukken dies

Your ""chinas"" and other countries with strong societal norms could be just told "maintain physical distance", and they're fine. Plus their hospital systems are plenty because these Big State systems always stock up on disaster stuff. That's like their thing
Here in the West? You fucks would start giving each other RIMJOBS to spite the government if they told you not to. Nobody listens, so the stay at home orders are necessary to at least somewhat contain it.
If you didn't need a doctor or medical help lately -- congrats. Turns out there are a lot that do, on the regular as well.
It will get real bad now if they won't know how to go back from these regimes to regular life, though. Whichever way you slice it, it fucking sucks now.
