I use that specific period to backtest new TA gizmos to see if they're okay or not gonna work. A lot of TA gizmos work well enough in a nice swoopy sine wave kinda chart. It's that flat chop that separates something decent from unusable. Like if it says don't do anything for a decent percentage of that flat garbage it's a potential keeper.

TA on oil is developing a bullish case for sure. I would be more interested if I didn't know that this whole rally rests on SOMETHING halfass good done by SOMEBODY(IES) at some point SOONISH. Pro-amateur tip for trading oil: even if you don't use a stop loss on anything else, fucking god damn well use one on oil. Cinch that thing up tight every time you get an upwards jump and sell portions of your positions as it rises. Oil will turn a pretty good trade in to a break even stop out so fast.

I need to lay this down straight. The Bulls are getting exhausted. The current international situation is a marathon and not a sprint. POTUS displaying maximum levels of cope and delusion. "economy back and running by easter", forget it! The U.S. is now in the top of number infected and number of deaths per day and it will only continue to get worse over the coming 1-2 weeks. Not even Trump or the rest of the average American retards will be able to deliver the amounts of cope and delusion needed to stay bullish in this scenario. All counter measures are exhausted, the FED has already promised unlimited liquidity and POTUS are spreading lies on twitter about oil prices. Wuhan is in continued TOTAL lockdown after 3 months, afraid of a second wave of the virus. There is nothing positive to look forward to, it is only downhill from here. Bill Gates is right. Economically it would make sense to go back to work and rip this bandaid off fast rather than slow, but no one will be able to argue that millions of people should die to save the economy. There will be an international total lockdown for months to come, and the coping bulls are coming to terms with this at the moment.

My brain is too fucking small. I'm being outjewed by really smart people acting really retarded to trick retards out of their money.

People had suspicions that the virus was bad, but China kept hush. Any retard with a pulse could've placed some puts at this point and made out like a bandit (this is where I started). Even when it reached Italy nobody gave a shit until the cases really started to build up (my positions were complete shit but I held). Even that panic sentiment didn't do anything. What genuinely caused the first market dip was OPEC niggardry causing oil to take the fucking elevator straight down. Now is when the virus hysteria kicked in as boomers feared for their 401ks (because literally EVERYTHING is in some index fund or ETF fag pile).

Now, this is bad because most companies have dogshit leverage since banks handed out loans to everything with a pulse this last decade. Everyone bought back stock to pump their value to retarded levels when they don't actually have shit. This happened in unprecedented levels in 2018 with the tax reform bill. These retards wasted so much money that they can't go two weeks without income. This caused them to try to get loans and be denied because bankers were like "lol no. You can barely afford to pay me back on the shit I already loaned you, there's no way in HELL you can ever pay me back what you're asking for" and this lack of liquidity caused companies to take a shit dive, which caused even MORE panic, which caused the subsequent dips.

Now the fed realized how terrible this is, and they're throwing everything they can to keep this shitty life raft afloat. They reduced rates to make banks more willing to let them borrow money, but they didn't bite. Now they're DIRECTLY buying up and forgiving certain types of garbage loans just so these retards can stay afloat. This is working, but has now caused a situation where the money flowing in (or hell, even the promise of it) is causing "illogical" market behavior.

This "illogical" behavior is just big boys with big dicks throwing money around to push out everyone trying to short. They know everyone knows that things are fucked. The retards like me (who spontaneously made a lot of money on hysteria and panic), are slowly being bled now that things have calmed down. The problem is that this isn't really a calm situation. We're floating on a really shitty life raft. And I know we'll sink. Everyone knows. The question is how much can it be manipulated before it's over?

hey I read your blog

it was really when cases started climbing in Italy that the US markets started to crash

I sold out of my leveraged longs and went pretty hard into UVXY calls in late Jan/ Early Feb when the writing was on the wall, but I had to close out of that position neutral when US stocks kept pumping

OPEC was the 2nd dip, the first dip really was caused by cases in Italy/Korea going parabolic

all the rest of your post about buybacks doesn't really matter too much; yes companies could have held cash instead but it doesn't really matter too much now. The economy was in a neutral state, not massively over-leveraged like you're implying

The Fed stepped in because spreads were getting really d=wide in the credit markets;
now everyone has different opinions about if this was organic or if some actors were just getting greedy, but the safest thing to do here is for the fed to step in and buy, which they did.

Reducing rates and requirements is also a part of this, but they haven't "forgiven" anything. Not sure where you're getting that from. They bought real tangible assets.

You are right, I am retarded. But the biggest dips are also correlated with oil announcements.

The price wars started early March.
-First talks where Russia told OPEC to fuck off Mar 5.
-Mar 8 OPEC says fuck off and starts pumping shitloads of Oil.
-Mar 10 there is an announcement for a Mar 18 scheduled meeting.
-Mar 12 meeting unlikely to be successful
-Mar 18 meeting not successful
-Mar 23 Russia tells Arabs to go fuck themselves.
