Ya, even in my city where we only have like 200 hundred reported cases so far and "1 death", but then I have some friends who are nurses, one whos an ICU surgeon and another who does prep work for surgeries, and one of the hospitals in my city just had to send 40 staff home who all tested positive, and another of my friends said she's basically thinking about quitting the field because she can't handle it, and honestly looks like she's already suffering from ptsd. There are literal droves of sick people being sent home without being tested because they "arent sick enough", hospitals are running out of literally everything (gloves, masks, ventilators, rooms, staff are being run thin because they're all getting sick, etc).

I live in a small city (700k~), and the numbers being reported dont at all line up with what I'm hearing from people I know who actually work at hospitals
