Stop limit activates when you decide that if your trade isnt going as you'd hoped, say you are in the negatives, it will trigger and sell your coin before you lose more money. Its a fail safe.
Ex. If you bought at 100, hoping it goes to 120, I would set my stop limit at 90 because if it goes too far down, the risk I'm taking is more than my reward

Trigger price is when you set a limit order at say 100, and the current price is at 80, I'd set my trigger price at 90 and the computer will put your buy/sell order on the books for 100 when the price hits 90. If the price doesnt hit 90 your order will not be placed. This is how people short and long the market with different scenarios for their TA.

checked. this is the part i dont understand even after reading what you just typed. can you give me a scenario for shorting and longing?

>>18231392
The trigger is like a if statement, when the market price matches your trigger price. The order is set for the price you set

im sorry i cant understand what you wrote. here is my understanding, if bitcoin is at 100 and i open a short with a price at 110 and a limit price at 130, t hen if the price goes to 110 my short position will open and if it reaches 130 it will close at a loss correct?

First open short or long with a limit or market order.
Then think at what price you want to get out so you don’t lose your money this is your stop limit price set the trigger price couple units lower or higher so that your order triggers on time

the only problem is that in binance you have to emulate a market stop order by setting your limit order price low enough to make sure it goes through effectively becoming a market order.

the hard part is actually figuring out where to set that stop so you dont get stopped out in vain (when you are right)

It's not a green screen you retard. Zoom has the ability to change your background to a picture or whatever. They even talked about it during the beginning of the meeting.

i always liked the bitmex interface. there is even a plugin for chrome to enable a dom interface basically letting you trade much quicker. I will try ftx since they have something I fancy which is the shitcoin perpetual index.
