dollars only have value to the extent that they let you purchase goods or services denominated in that currency. the more dollars you create, necessarily you increase the cost of what you can purchase with those dollars. consumer prices have been relatively low as measured in terms of CPI, although the Fed's numbers are tainted by questionable hedonic adjustments and similar sleights of hand. instead, inflation has manifested itself in the form of asset price inflation. most credit growth has been in the form of lending for financial transactions, so this stands to reason. > Hire one worker displaced by corona virus to dig a hole
> Hire second worker displaced by corona virus to fill in the hole

We've gone full Keynesian now. Socialism, bailouts and make-ready job programs. Who would have thought in 2016 that Trump would be the second coming of Eugene Debbs

I'm a literal communist and cool with this. Since Bernie's not gonna get the nom, I could care less who wins between Trump and Sleepy Joe.

This is a good time for the Republicans to flank Dems to their left. After all, Americans love socialism, as long as you don't call it that.

This. The one thing European cities have on American ones is intra-city commuting. Denver, Portland, Boston... all the cities that came up in the last boom were installing light rail commuter systems to bridge the expanse of suburbia.
