I’m a 25 year-old ex-teacher waiting for graduate school to begin.

I read a lot, starting to get better at sketching, which took some time so it’s nice to see some improvement. I watch a lot of movies, probably 200 or so every year, and I try to write about the ones I really enjoy or really detest. I’d like to get into the habit of running, and I’ve tried and failed 20 or so times thus far. I’m decently in shape but I could workout more.

I'm 31 and an engineer at an IT firm. I'm doing pretty well, and also my job is essential because of the people we do business with. In my personal life I've been trying to make video game reviews for a while. The hardest part is talking about the game but also being entertaining. Like, finding a way to crack jokes while making your point clear and understandable is very difficult. I've posted them across /v/ a couple of times for feedback and usually they just get called generic, so I think I might look into a creative writing class or a comedy course or something. IDK.

I inherited a fairly sizable trust fund from my Grandparents. Not enough to never work again, but enough to play life on easy mode. Literally every other person I know who's inherited money has fucked their life up, one way or another with drugs or reckless spending and I'm determined to not make the same mistakes for myself. I got a bachelor's in CS (Europe so it was free) then I failed to get a job right after. It was a mixture of laziness with lack of motivation, I felt like my job prospects were pretty much just web development code monkey. And also I just thought office life was really grim.

At this point its been almost a year since graduation. I think the best way forward is to work on getting the OSCP certification, my best grades were in the security/crypto related classes anyways.

I was going to go to Japan for work but Corona-chan fucked me over. Thinking about doing like 10 months or something in the military, waiting for this shit to blow over basically. That is if I can't find a job. At least I still live with my parents.

I'm a student from Greece, currently studying Chemical Engineering in the UK with a plan to continue on to do Nuclear Engineering for my Master's. I've always loved nuclear power since I was a kid, but only in the last year did I truly realise how dead this sector is and how little growth there is. So now I'm not sure if I should continue studying it, but on the other hand I don't have a passion for anything else and I fear I would burn out by 45 doing any other career, so I'm gonna continue this course. Currently learning French since the UK doesn't feel like it wants to welcome immigrant workers with open arms and France has shit loads of nuclear power, but it's probably going to be majority decommissioning by the time I'm fully finished with education.
I've thought about taking part in the Green Card lottery (I'm from Greece so I have about 1/100 odds of getting one which is alright I guess), but on the other hand I've never really been a fan of America its mentality of "fuck-you-I-got-mine". Also a lot of towns and neighbourhoods look ugly as fuck. Plus, even if I get a $100k job (very doable in US nuclear engineering from my research), I don't know what I would do with the money, and I think I'd rather live in Europe with less than in America with more. I don't know I'm still thinking about it.
I don't plan to strike it rich in the stock market (too risky), but I don't want to be a complete wageslave either, so I'm thinking of finding a compromise between the two.
