I'm flipping a coin to determine whether the market will close red or green. Heads is green, tails is red. I'll be back with the results once I find a coin.

I don't get why people are so worked up over the virus. As far as we know it does not kill white people because the virus can't bind to the receptors on their cells. Places with high death count like Spain, Italy, UK, Seattle and New York CIty all have significant amount of Asian population, so it's safe to reason all the deaths so far have been unproductive Asians that won't affect the economy.

IMO bearish doesn't mean you short the fuck out of stuff, it means you aren't blindly buying every dip and investing more conservatively as you do not take an optimistic approach to the long term ability of markets to grow. I do not think 8% YoY growth is possible in perpetuity, not for LockMart, or Costco, or Microsoft. Any of them. Doesn't mean I won't invest, but I don't believe markets are efficient or capable of perpetual growth, and such crashes as we are in now are going to become more common as politicians try to square the bill of goods the populace has been sold with regards to what to expect from markets, with reality.

The deal would have relieved the pressure on US shale, right? Question for oilchads: Between OPEC (Saudis) and Russia, who was it who reached across the aisle, and who left the table? Saudis and Russians both want, and will get, the same thing out of this. I don't actually think they're enemies in this, although they played it that way so the Saudis wouldn't have to deal with Trump's wrath.

They want US Shale out of business. They want to be the two biggest players in the game again. US is the largest exporter of oil in the world, and isn't bound by any kind of organization like OPEC.

Russia and Saudis, I believe, are working together to change this before they start up OPEC again.

That's the story the public got. If you think about it, it doesn't actually make any sense. The Saudis are hurting themselves more than they're hurting Russia by driving oil prices into the ground.

The party most affected by this is the USA. Therefore one might be forgiven for assuming that the USA entered into their calculus at some point. I think it did - I think the entire reason for this apparent disagreement between the Saudis and Russians is the USA. It wasn't a disagreement at all, actually, rather it was an *agreement* - to drive oil prices into the ground, the kill US Shale.

The timing of this is not a coincidence either. Do you think they just so happened to do this when demand was at ridiculously low levels due to a global pandemic? No.

This was calculated to have a maximum economic effect on US Shale. Call me a conspiracy theorist.

This will continue until marginal companies like OXY are dead and gone. XOM, RDS.B, CVX, BP will survive, but be hurt by it and permanently weakened as it becomes clear that their revenue is subject to veto at any time by Russia/Saudi intervention.

I'm long oil mind you, but it's not good for business if you're an oil major.

I think the Houthis and Iranians are cooking up something special for Saudi Arabia that is going to put the brakes on this shit. Also, US can always do tariffs.

Wow. That's actually a first.
I'm getting surprised by what some people actually appreciate in my artwork.

>I really hope you mix actual semen into your paint.
It's called "pouring medium" and you have to mix it 1:1 with your acrylic paint, so that it'll actually spread over the canvas
Although I'll literally need gallons of it over the next couple months with the rate that I'm going at, I guess it wouldn't hurt to bring some of the pouring fluid production in-house.
However, considering the production rate of previous record holders, such as jizzus, I don't think it would be possible to bring production completely in-house.

Ever been on /g/? Are you familiar with the "is coffee good for you?" meme?
It's because this board would be hard to follow with pure text.
There's an alternative board to /g/ on this site called /prog/ that genuinely is a pure text board (image posting is disabled). It'd be well-suited to me, but I couldn't possibly have the patience for it.
The anime and shit is like easy eye candy, or common orthogonal interests to the main subject.
It's kind of like blog-posting. Very little of this thread actually discusses stocks.

Looking it up, liquitex's pouring medium does seem to be a paint thinner. CSE is chronic solvent-induced encephalopathy, people use solvents (including paint thinners, gasoline) as drug substitutes, it functions similarly to alcohol but has the long-term risks of destroying your brain. CSE is mostly an occupational thing, as long as you do your painting in a room with an open window and you don't sleep in it it shouldn't be a problem.

Nah...nobody wants that. Literally nobody. Saudis can't sustain their government long term at anything under like 40. Same with Russia, I think they need it at about 28-30 to not draw down their sovereign wealth fund.

Oil will not stay this low forever. It will return to, at a bare minimum, ~50/bl. Question is when.
