It was shorted to prevent people from noticing the fact that it is a store of value.
The dow was 18k last week , when the dow was 18k last time btc was sub 600 usd.

BTC price will go up as the monetary base increases but the current deflationary pressure makes it hard for the market to value stuff with money speed decreasing.

Contrary to what most people think here bitcoin is being used for real every dayto do transactions.

With the world experiencing deflation most of those fiat gateway transactions are not happening.
But i agree that it's holding great given the circumstances.

The fall from 9000 to 6000 is due to the deflatrionary force.
Transactios per day collapsed as soon as the layoff started due to the deflation.

BTC however reacted wonderfully , the hashrate collapsed too , and as blocks were created slower every 15 minutes daily inflation went almost bellow 2% which increased the price from 3900 to 5200 and then 6700(the hashrate adjusted back here).

I am more optimistic than ever on bitcoin if it can survive this deflation level it will survive everything.
