18117390 No.18117390 [Reply] [Original]

So I bought during the panic 15 silver maples at 27.50 CAD. I thought I lost my shirt, but have been wondering what people are buying physical for.

BOMBSHELL: REAL PRICE OF PHYSICAL SILVER TRADING @ 30-32 DOLLARS PER OZ

https://wwwebayca/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=silver%20maple%20leaf&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

^SORTED BUY MOST RECENT SOLD LISTINGS FIRST

DONT LISTEN TO THE FUDDERS, PAPER SILVER NO LONGER REFLECTS REAL PRICE OF SILVER AND IS A DISTRACTION. PAPER SILVER IS OVER.

eBay price is always high because normally people buy one as a gift for someone and they can't be fucked going to a local dealer because there are no local dealers and can't be fucked opening an account online with a dealer and getting anal probed for a fucking coin worth $20. Though, in saying that in the last week the srys sellers on eBay Oz have been de-stocked of everything that's $ legal and silver. I saw hundreds of 1oz go in a day from 1 seller. It would have taken that seller months to sell that amount and he did it in a day. What's left are gay coins for $43+ Australia Yuan each but the market for Star Wars is kinda thin and getting to recognisable coins it goes to $49+ Australia Yuan each which is the point srys buys say no thanks (at the moment). I don't think that this buying was grandma wanting to buy a gift for her grandson and that it was actually srys buyers cost averaging up their stack because ALL the dealers sold out in a few days and they are getting told it's a month away (which it might be).

Multiply the Dollar:Silver and Paper:Silver ratios together and you will see what silver should be worth if all derivatives were eliminated and the dollar was pegged to it. In theory, it should be over $275K. If it relieved debts it would be even more valuable.

silver is actually harder to find in nature right now, compared to gold. there's tons of videos of guys just finding little specks and actual nuggets of gold by river panning. i have yet to see one video of people finding silver that easily. just keep in mind there's such a thing as panning for gold, but not panning for silver. silver has to be extracted from mountains.

I understand what you're saying, but that's false. No one pans for silver because you'd have to gather, like, a pound of it a day in order for it to be worthwhile. Meanwhile, panning for gold and getting an oz a week would make for a cushy living. It's not about whether or not it's possible, it's about if it's a cost effective usage of your time. Look at the AU:AG ratio right now. If you can pan for either, and will collect equal amounts in weight, which would you choose?

yeah, I agree. if you look into silver more, you'll find it's quite lucrative but only if you find a big chunk that weighs several pounds. but usually it's still an ore form, and has to be refined. with gold it's a lot easier and more practical because usually it's already in a fairly pure form, or it's stuck on some quarts.

Silver isn't present in a "native" form as much as you find in nature as gold due to it being more reactive than gold i.e. tarnish, so tendency for it to alloy or bind with different metals will occur during when it melts and reforms in the mantle or when it is in the ground. You will find silver nuggets but it will be anywhere from 80-90% pure while gold you get in streams and etc. is pretty much 99% there.

>> No.18133722

silver isn't hard to find. There is way more silver in the Earth than their is gold. The problem is shit banks like Comex artificially lowering the value of silver. The low price of silver makes it unprofitable for mining companies to look for silver, so they don't bother. I think the price of silver will increase to a point where it is higher than the natural ratio of gold to silver (15oz silver = 1 oz of gold). Afterwards mining companies will start mining for silver again and the prices will lower to the normal. Waiting for silver to be worth probably 10:1 for gold or maybe even 5:1 then exchanging all my silver for gold.
