I put about half of my money on some company, about 10 minutes later I jumped up 100 ranks.

CYTR I bought some at 6.75$ (lol) and averaged down with another buy at the 5.80$ region.

PCYC buy was around 115$ a share. Wish I would have thrown more in when it dipped to 98$.

AMD buy was around 3.32$.

All of these are longs but I expect a large boost of hype for PCYC this month. CYTR is a long hold. And AMD is just playing the ERs.

I didn't have any investment capital back then. I did what I could but during the crash I was trying to maximize gains and spread my limited funds out too thin. 1 share of GOOG at $200-300, 20 shares of AAPL at $85 a share, but I also bought C, AIG, and a few others too soon so took a loss on them.

Overall for a firsttimer I've done really well. Dumped APPL when it was in the mid-600s, and I already mentioned GOOG. I just wish I had some stronger initial amounts back in '08

I just use that app called "Stock Quote" from the google marketplace. Never used Google Finance and I think if you went the Bloomberg route you either get their Terminal or just not bother.

Fucking everything. I'm not nearly patient enough. I see something drop a percent, I panic sell and short, it goes back up 2 percent. The last 30 minutes I lost a thousand alone on PPHM, because I saw it go down, then sold and shorted, then it went back up.

If I own a stock at $50 and I want to take profits at $55, I'll put in a limit sell order at $55 and my stock will be sold when the stock trades at $55.
