This is accurate. It's basically designed to stave off deflation and keep inflation at regular levels. The only problem is if they overestimate leading to larger than expected inflation. However there are other issues like confidence in the fiat and class wealth gap growth.

In case you haven't noticed both sides are showing their true colors by grovelling to major corporations throughout this entire event. On the other hand, many of the cash going to companies is a loan not a payment. This means that the gov will have companies like Amazon and Boeing's dicks in a deathgrip. At any time they can demand good jobs rather than suggest it. This will be interesting, I think the gov is playing the long game while corpos are playing the short.
