Coinbase is going to be superior for crypto trading.

If you were just buying a few coins here or there to try and get gains on the market then you can flip a coin because either one's going to work fine.

I use both for crypto.
RH is good for buying "crypto" quickly due to their instant deposits, but you'll never actually hold the coin yourself. You can't take it out of RH and put it into a wallet. Another downside of RH, it's a pain to sell the crypto. When you sell, you're selling the dollar amount, and not the sat, like .0001btc. oh, and you can't set limits on RH for crypto.

Coinbase is a bitch to get money into because of the waiting period, 3-5 days. It has fees on trading the coin now (it wasn't always that way, i think). However, CB is better at trading the coin, you can set limits and sell based on the coin and not the dollar amount (i.e. I would like to sell .001btc, not $9)

Coinbase is federally regulated like a real bank, they also ensure your holdings up to $250,000.

No, they only insure USD sitting on your account. Crypto is not insured.

Coinbase is the better, more robust platform with less risk than Robinhood. Honestly use coinbase Pro for the lower fees, (coinbase RAPES you on fees) and then xfer out to a wallet. I use Jaxx, mycelium, and lumi.
