The other factor to understand is just like after Italy hit a critical exponential number, it started to export cases at the same exponential rate.

New york will then be exporting cases all over USA, it's important to realize that these are not necessarily signs of community spread.

If a mass spread event happens. The week after actually has more spread due to infected spreading to untouched close contacts afterwards. So a big event will likely show signs of community spread afterwards in terms of infections even if non-organic.

For instance Thailand had a kickboxing event with mass spread, in which afterwards those infected family members would then be infected, showing community spread but probably non-sustainable without singular exceptional events.

Same with Malaysia and a packed muslim gathering featuring lots of international travelers.

This will also be shown in new orleans due to Mardi Gras. With the event on the 25th, then close contact spread the week after, then a reduction in spread after this due to seasonality and natural reasoning.

For those interested, New Orleans, Louisiana over the next few weeks will show this out by not going exponential.

A good example of this is Thailand's Coronavirus cases. It spiked immediately after China spiked, and even had a top spot in # of coronavirus cases internationally.

After China stopped exporting cases to Thailand it largely died off. Regardless of reporting inaccuracies it never went exponential.

Then Thailand had a large resurgence of cases as Italy and other areas began exporting.

It's likely Thailand will then see a decline from this high point due to exportation.

many places in USA might probably behave similarly, with a spike due to exportation and close contact spread then a reduction due to natural factors.

With the increase in behavioral changes it's likely this effect will be even greater in those low R0 US states.

second of all, stop spreading disinformation, we do not know so far for a fact that the virus dies more quickly in sunny hot climate. Sure the UV radiation could potentially kill it quicker but it's just a speculation. Lets stick to what we know, Italy is closing in on 10% TEN FUCKING PERCENT death rate, that's insane. We have no news about a cure that works, most patient seem to get back to health with the help of medical staff, but it's mostly just their bodies fighting of the infection in a hospital environment. IMO it is just the early stages and we should behave as if that shit was smallpox since we have no fucking if it can mutate, mostly because the chinese fucking data is highly unreliable and in many cases non-existent.
