Does the US Mint have $2 trillion in Platinum sitting around?
Quick googling shows that this is probably nonsense fuckery
>And we know that about 2.2 million ounces of platinum are in existence above ground (as of 2017).
>At today's dollar price (a little above $860 per ounce, as of November 11, 2018), that comes to about $1.9 billion.
Unless the entire platinum supply in known world is actually just 0.1% of the available platinum, and the US mint is sitting on the other 99.9%, this is basically just them printing two coins and declaring they are worth a trillion dollars each. It's literally the most retarded version of money printing you can think of.

The mint can't really 'declare' a revaluation. Sure they could say 'we are willing to buy platinum at twenty thousand dollars an ounce' or something, but then where are they going to get the money to buy it? The US Mint is self funded and only does about a billion dollars a year in revenue. Theoretically if the govt cooperated I guess the Fed could just turn on the brrr printer, but that's a pretty guaranteed way to immediately collapse USD.
>>17985634
Man once people like Tlaib or AOC start getting into serious positions of power where they have control over the money supply, they are going to tank the dollar so hard and so quickly they'll have to invent new terms because 'hyper' won't be a good enough prefix for 'inflation'.

They might as well as just save a few bucks and mint the $1 trillion coins using copper. They'll still be worthless, minting them on precious metals to give them an air of legitimacy is retarded.

At the moment, the plan is to use income tax filings. If you paid via direct deposit, it goes into that account. If you've closed that account, they'll try to mail you a check.

If you filed taxes multiple times under different identities... why would you even do that

Inflation depends on the amount of money being spent. Right now, private sector spending is way down, so government spending has to go up to compensate.

One complication is the adverse effect of the virus on production. Falling production is inflationary, which reduces the size of the required increase in government spending by an unknown amount.

At our nation's capital, down the halls of power walks amazing genius Rashida Tlaib. Her country needs her, for only she possesses the sheer megalithic genius required to save the American people in this time of crisis. As her heels click over the marble floor at a staccato pace, her mind races just as quickly, performing economic calculations so complex they would drive lesser minds to insanity.
