Forbes reported on this and there is a case against bitfinex using Tether.

They already investigated and found out the fund allocation was manipulated as well as only having a 74% ability to pay back if there was a run on USDT the entire system would collapse.

Thanks fren. A lot of this money is money I made shorting LINK and BTC at the peak of the rally. I suppose after closing this short I'm finally gonna treat myself to something. This has been one hell of a ride.
