I'm aware. I'm thinking of maybe starting to buy monday, depending on how things look.

I do have one thing I'm really debating though. Dave and Busters has dropped all the way down to 4-5 when it used to be 48. I'm really debating whether or not I should jump in. Considering they're a restaurant arcade they could be booming when this whole thing is over, or they could get hurt too badly from potential months of being shut down

Alright guys I'm coming in with probably the #1 most asked question, but...
Is trading ACTUALLY a meme?

I opened an account with Investous 3 days ago just for shit and giggles, deposited 250€, looked up ONE video on youtube of how to read a candlestick chart properly, and 2 days later my balance is 290€.
I've only had two unsuccessful trades out of 20 or so, and one of the two could have been another profit if I hadn't chickened out at the last minute and closed it too early (after it had gone way more in the red but I had stuck with it).
Of course I'm risking a lot of the capital since I don't really mind that much if I lose 50€ as a learning opportunity, but so far it's worked out way too well.

I feel like there's no way this should be this easy and I just got lucky. Am I right?

And no I don’t recommend airlines. Don’t just buy things because you’re guessing they’re cheap. But them because they’re good.

Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, BRK/B is on sale, as are many good companies. Who knows if the airlines will recover from here, compared to the rest of the market.

I’d rather buy Pepsi or Coke or JNJ or Pfiszer or Merck or BRKB or a bunch of others

Dnb is one I would consider checking to see how severe their debt is, and possibly shorting them into bankruptcy. They are the type of company that could easily not make it through this.

After this, who’s going to want to use a bunch of joysticks and buttons and other equipment that a bunch of strangers just touched?

The effect of this stuff is going to last even if we get a treatment or a vaccine. People are going to get much more conscientious of cleaning things, sanitizing their hands, and not spending money on things they don’t need.

I forgot about them. That would have been an easy short, even easier than carnival cruises or Marriott.

Whether it's for business or just traveling in general, I think major airlines are here to stay. Especially considering they most likely will offer discounted flights as soon as this whole thing is over to try and lure in business.

I also don't see people actually learning a thing from this. I'm sure people might carry hand sanitzer with them, but I doubt they'll actually avoid touching things strangers touched. If they did all arcades would go under, along with things like bowling alleys or even just basic things like movie theaters, because no one is going to wipe down every single armrest with sterile wipes after each showing.

Hyperinflation is way easier to control if you don't take idiotic political decisions. However the Fed can't hide from deflation, only run from it, but eventually deflation always catches up. The current consumption crisis is so deep that the Fed doesn't have many more tools left to combat deflation. The dude in the thread you posted also says that the US probably can't satisfy the international demand for USD right now.

The answer is, if the Fed manages to outprint the economy out of this situation, hyperinflation will be a problem because of how much money has been created. Currently the problem is deflation, which is why this guy says he's long on dollar.

America is fucking cancelled if the unemployment goes to 20% like the fed predicts it might lol.

The reason the fed is giving out so much money for free is because they are substituting the value generated by the economy that is currently freezing. Businesses not making money need to pay employees, so they borrow money cos they can't sell their products. People aren't working so they struggle to survive so they borrow. Corporations can't generate wealth because supply chains are blocked up and markets are seizing up and crashing due to panic, so they cover their losses by borrowing.

They're putting us on borrowed time anon. They're flash freezing the good economy from feb, putting it in the fridge and hoping the microwave defroster works in September.

If we can ride out the storm and get the economy rolling again with 5% unemployment somehow we can ride out the inflation for 30 years by blowing up our population and giving insane tax breaks to manufacturing and production industries. If we can preserve some of our current workforce and shovel in millions of stupid migrants to work shit labour jobs then we can temper the storm and weather out the inflation.

I hope I don't need to explain why it's not communism/socialism nowadays
As for the assertion of them being ancap, first you have to realize that after Tiananmen incident with China being openly authoritarian to its citizen, the only way they keep their citizens from revolting is economic growth. And economic growth also indicate success of government officials, officials and their relatives can also profit from it, so the entire Chinese government is run like a for-profit company. What is closer to ancap than an unchecked conglomerate controlling the entire society and use all the laws, police and military force, and all other means they can imagine of to keep their status and profit? Their response in this outbreak is also rather similar to how a company trying but failing to cover up some problem and then trying to resolve it using all the tools they can use.
