Are you in a stable, recession-proof job anon?

How does it feel knowing you'll be among the top dogs once this shit is all over?

Anon I am going to destroy your belief, should you choose to accept truth.

In our current day and age, it is to be considered the lowest of lows to be an employee. You pay the most taxes percentage wise (where it counts), your labors do not benefit you directly, your thought processes are eventually molded into serving others at lower reasonable gain to yourself, your mind becomes generally risk averse and you do not learn to properly weigh risk in a timely manner. Your market value drops with each passing day, older people are higher risk, more and more competition sprouts up and the cards are realistically stacked against you. Your ROI with regards to time and effort would be much more effective had you started a business of sorts. Granted, some employees like their jobs, or accept all of the above. But being proud of being a wagie and "rising above" just makes you more of a loser because now you're proud of putting others down. Which means in the grander scheme of things, you think the same behaviors should be reflected unto you, and so you sow discourse, and create inefficient ripples in our current timeline. We can do a lot better. Jobs are riskier now and you can get fired just because. In fact the risk of running a business weighted with rewards can be considered much less as you have more control over the income, success, etc. You've done it, you've grown up and can become self sustaining. That's winning. That's success.

Thank you for reading my blog post and may we all benefit from these coming times. Cheers.

Case by case basis, but perhaps you're right. The age of the employee should diminish. Too many people equate it to basically slavery, and so they cut themselves short in the business agreement, being that is what it is a business agreement not an exploitative relationship, unless you let it get there.

If all else fails I have a degree in Psychology with 5-years of practical experience being a social worker. This is my last resort fallback plan. but ironically mental health services are probably not as recession proof as the guy who keeps your business from getting hacked.
