I have about 6 weeks of toilet paper on hand so didn't need any more but I checked the aisles in both stores just to see. Zilch. I mean ZILCH ZERO NOTHING available for toilet paper. This has got to be a self sustaining meme with people. Everybody load up on toilet paper because stock might be out. News reports toilet paper shortage. People hoard more of it. The way I'm looking at this is that we were already in trouble back in Sept '19 and it just kept getting worse, slowly, up until the virus hit in Jan. If $3t couldn't shore up the system between Sept and December without the virus, how much is it going to take to prevent a complete collapse now? Had the virus just peaked and gone, maybe the Fed could have gotten ahead of the impact, but dragging out the agony like this seems to be a guarantee that things will get catastrophically worse.
