I have some knowledge about stocks, and I'm new to robinhood. Made my account a while back, but only started trading now.

Can any of you guys give a beginner some tips? I'm not asking for you guys to give me your strategies, but rather some tips/tricks to help me get started in the right direction.

What's a good amount to start with for a beginner? I'm willing to transfer $500-$750, but since I'm just starting, would I be better off with $100 or so?

practicing with 100 is a great idea. Some people suggest 'fantasy' portfolios, but I don't think the lessons you will learn with a fake portfolio will have the same effect if you don't actually have any skin in the game. There is an emotional component to lessons learned that you can only get with real gains and losses.

You don't learn humility with money until you are up on a stock, cash out, watch it dip and double down on that dip to try and catch it and it just tanks down and end up losing triple when it triggers your stop loss.

Robinhood instant is a margin account, right?

Since I'm starting out, would the margin account offer any benefits over a cash account? I doubt I'll be trading enough to hit the pattern day trader limit.

Day trading is the only reason to use a cash account. If you're not going to day trade use RH Instant.

RH Instant is a "limited" margin account, in that you are not given money that you don't have, but are temporarily given money that is tied up by a sale or a transfer, thus allowing you to invest immediately after selling a stock. It's a good thing to be able to do, but it means that you can't day trade more than a few times a week because of government rules for margin accounts.
