Just thinking of replacing banks with smart contracts is incredible by itself.
The biggest issue I see is that the coronavirus/banking crisis happened too soon.

The banking crisis will certainly push for a better alternative, but it would be easier if a working system is ready to replace the banks when the collapse happens.
At the current rate Sergey may need all the help he can get to speed up his development process if he wants to make it in time.
