there actually is value in there. you cant compare modern usa to 1985 in terms of total value of company assets. we didnt have any of FAANG in 1985 and that's just a drop in the bucket. right now it is literally undervalued.

just look at what american companies have in terms of assets. the workforce, real estate, intellectual property, machinery, research, systems, products, etc all added up. it is MASSIVELY more valuable now than in 1985.

there are real companies making products

>> No.17893140

That's the point, it is a bubble hyperinflated by debt.

Not just that. Your dollar is worth less. Everything costs more than it did back in 1985 and so should company valuations.

I really think the DJIA more reflects the devaluing of the US dollar, as opposed to the increase in asset value.

I mean, on a long term timeline. Panics like this are just that.

Coffee in the 90s cost about 50 cents for a 10 or 12 ounce cup. Today it costs about 2 dollars. The Dow Jones average has roughly mirrored that increase. Many other items have mirrored that increase, or dollar devaluation. I don't think coffee has become inherently more valuable today than in 1997, do you?

Its the exact opposite wtf are you smoking? We have no hard production just an comically overvalued (((service))) economy.

thats what im saying. this shit is bursting and yet we have brainlets everywhere saying, "No in one month we moon after corona chan goes into hibernation."

>> No.17893844

>>17893558
they are in denial because they probably are currently holding heavy bags soon to be totally worthless.
We are experiencing the everything bubble burst who will destroy (((their))) fiat ponzi scam, 1.4 quadrilions in derivatives about to evaporate as everything is spiraling down to death. Corona chan is just a convenient excuse for policy makers not wanting to take responsibility for what was bound to happen anyway.

Value is incredibly fucking abstract. Honestly I think its because what gives america REAL value is it's civil liberties. I.E you cannot buy land in china because the commie party owns everything and you can only get a 70 year lease max (which they can cancel anytime for any reason).

real value is only the agreement passed in the 70s' with OPEC forcing 85% of oil producers worldwide to trade they barrels in USD only.
