I'm a controller a medium sized company where I'm a friend of the family. They are Pakistani but I know I all the dirt about their family. They are absolute cut throats to one another and take any chance to cut each other down for any small thing. Two of the man's brothers worked for the company and he fired one. The other one only has a job because he took care of the parents in old age and the owner (oldest) feel obligated to let him keep his job. This guy is extremely bad at his job but is basically unfireable. Every culture is different.

I'm actually black but didn't grow up in the black community. There is little cohesion among middle class blacks. I'm by far the most productive as were my parents. Everyone tries to freeload and you have to be strong enough to say no.

I have never been a racist, and have always preferred to judge individuals based on their own behavior, but working with These two Indian women in an office environment has left a very bad taste in my mouth. They were coming to work sick last week, and literally laughing about the fact that they were coofing and sneezing every minute (four of us work in a multi-person office that is about 400-500 square feet). One of them has the most annoying voice and accent ever. It feels like someone is smashing two pans or cymbals together right next to my face. On top of that, every fifth word out of her mouth is the first name of the person she is speaking to. This also drives me insane.

There is already an expat community, someone who has already established a business who is going to bring in other immigrants for their own country and get them to work probably cash in hand, off the books, and for ridiculous hours.
Now, if you start working in uncle Akmed's Kebab shop for a few years, he'll take care of you, he'll find you a place to live. You'll never be out of work. And then, he's so happy with how much schlepping you've done that he picks you to run the new Kebab shop he's opening elsewhere because he's managed to amass capital with the cheap labor you and your family member's provide.
Now you're the boss - you also need employees, so you bring over your brothers Abdullah, Nullah, and your mother's nephew Imadamnfoolah over to work for your Kebab shop.
Nullah is lazy though, so you tell him that if he doesn't pull his socks up you'll send his ass back to bumfuckistan, so he works harder.
