Should I be buying oil stocks right now?

>> No.17786984

I'm not really a long term holder but I was thinking Exxon too.
It's been killed from this sell off as well as the sell off in oil.
Exxon ain't going to die.
Also it's dividend at this price point is paying ~8%
Maybe a good hold for a few years

I’m long OVV, OXY and Exxon. Trump won’t let American shale fog bankrupt. The OPEC price war will end eventually. Good investment long term IMO.

You're right to be bullish on oil long term, but there's going to be more short term pain as the supermajors prepare to shoulder the balance sheets of the shale companies they ultimately buy in or near receivership.

I would. Rememember what benjamin grahim said.

>on the short term investing is a voting machine on the longterm it is a weighing machine.
He means people act irrational and buy and sell on the short term but on the long term it is a weihging machine in that its true value will shine.

Long term oil is an industry destined to die. Either these oil companies diversify to other forms of energy or they won’t recover

do what you feel is right. you will never buy at the lowest point, and you will never sell at the highest. that's just a fact

Long term in like 50 years with how cheap oil is now. Who the fuck is are going to buy electric cars when you can buy a cheap gas guzzler and fill it up with sub $2/gallon gas. We will probably see more muscle cars and SUVs on the road in the next few years.

Disney is still overpriced as hell.

The only stocks worth buying are banks, airlines, oil companies with low production costs.

This. I don't feel good about Disney. They grew by buying a shitload of other assets and eventually the millennial nostalgia fags will get tired.
