And basically every stock is on sale and cheap to have.
Whoever buys right now, is 100% going to make it the next 5 years and can retire in at least 10 years from now without having to worry about anything, just buy and dont look at your stonks.
Dividend stocks ftw , cryptofags.

nope, if you buy now you'll eat shit unless you gamble and sell before the recession comes. this is basic macroeconomics, america has enjoyed insane economic growth and it will now enjoy economic downturn.

Bear markets last longer than a week, OP. This time it's especially bad, because the fundamentals of modern commerce itself are under extreme duress, not just some index on a chart going down double digit percent.
If this worsens too quickly, we could see our quality of life go back like 100 years

Yeah whatever you say.
China managed to control it after 1 or 2 month and they are going back to business as normal.
Summer is right ahead and its going to helf against the virus.
You can start buying small positions right now but just buy right now because its already on record lows.
if you didnt buy, you'll buy now.

The fed is pumping Trillion of dollars into the market and our life is the same as it was before.
Nothing is going to change. Our social economic system is too deep envolving our daily life.

I didn't mean to scare you Anon, I used keywords like 'if' and 'could' deliberately.
It's an uncertainty, but the risk is definitely there, people don't storm supermarkets for no reason, and capital markets are also starting to price in the risk of severe fallout.
You could be right, and this could get back on track in the coming months. You're not the only one with that thesis, and I kind of agree with you. Bear in mind though that China, if you even believe their numbers, did things that would be borderline unconstitutional in western countries. Plus dropping production like that is a severe risk to modern commerce, which is more to my point.
Summer is indeed right ahead, but don't count on that. The virus would come back with a vengeance in autumn.
The virus itself isn't so dangerous, it's the strain on infrastructure. If it worsens TOO QUICKLY, health care systems and food logistics alike would be overburdened, and this would considerable reduce our quality of life. Can't go out for a burger and fries at 1am whenever you feel like it, have to actually plan your trips to supermarket, etc etc, would feel like living in the 1930's.
Or maybe it will fizz out soon, go ahead and buy index funds RIGHT NOW if you're so confident.
